Which DYNASTY year do you see as the worst -- Season 7 (probably the second half), Season 8, or the 1991 REUNION?

Or another?

And why?

I voted for Season 7, because that's the one that killed Dynasty in the first place. Had it remained on par with 6B, there's a good chance the Reunion never would have had to happen. Course I could be wrong, but still...

The second half of S7 is always the hardest for me to get through, so excruciatingly wrong-headed and boring.

In S8 the show is already dead, so why waste my time hating a corpse?

(S9, of course, is DYNASTY's cleansed, purified spirit leaving its body).

The Reunion is the killers' nostalgic necrophilia of the body. It's gross, sure, but less painful to the dying victim than late-S7.

Even the first half of S7 is hard to watch, because there are so many *right* things that are going oh so *wrong*... like...

-re-casting Amanda and giving her a dull storyline that leads absolutely nowhere, followed up by her vanishing off the face of the earth;

-Alexis moving into the mansion and then... nothing really coming of it;

-Blake having no money and lost all his power... and yet he was still living it up in 5 star hotels, been driven in limos, firing and hiring whoever he liked;

-Krystle seeming in her element and ready to take Alexis down... and then not doing anything;

-Sammy Jo turning into a goody-two-shoes, which I never had a problem with, just how she seemed to change overnight;

-Dominique *NOT* becoming a regular on THE COLBYS right away (she could have taken Jackie to LA for better treatment for her burns, and while there, gets to fill the void left by Constance; plus the fact that she's called off her engagement to Garrett could have some potential drama... though I still say Garrett should have died in the La Mirage fire; maybe he could have died saving Jackie, so Dominique decides to remember him in a loving manner);

-Fallon *FINALLY* meeting Amanda... and they're both being played by recasts... and they have only *ONE* scene together when they should have had one of the richest and most complicated relationships on the entire show (which is why I shall always object to Amanda being killed off; she was a goldmine of potential drama with Fallon);

-Ben receiving mysterious phone calls from a mysterious sexy wealthy-looking woman... only for her to transform into a dowdy waitress-type who can be bought off with a mere $100,000;

-Caress getting rescued from prison... only for her NOT to seek revenge against Alexis and to barely go after Ben; the list goes on....

For me there's nothing worse than the Reunion. I'd take the most boring late S7 episode any time over that dreadful Reunion. S7 was at least still Dynasty, the Reunion to me is clearly not. It's just a plain awful, forgettable TV-twoparter-piece-of-shit that accidentally has some of the Dynasty actors in it.

Krystle mentally manipulated by a ceiling fan into killing Blake?! :pray:
SammyJo-reset back to where her character was in season 3?! :re:
Alexis at Colby-Enterprises?! :ms:
Fallon and Miles back together :fp: only for her to leave him AGAIN for JEFF?! :fp::fp:
Fake-Adam and back-to-old-face Steven?! :confused:
The Carringtons watching a clipshow of old Dynasty-episode-clips in the livingroom?! :fp::fp::fp:
Arlan Marshall and Jeremy van Dorn?! o_O

Every single point of those is far worse than anything on season 7B already, but combined it's just unbelievably utter trash!
No. Just...NO. :mo: It all sucks. BIG time! That "Reunion" is the worst pile of garbage ever existed. Of all multiverses!!!

i'm done. :)

Yes. It is all horrible... but my vote still goes to S7 for the reasons I stated above. :lol: Though the Reunion did go up a few notches on the hate-scale.

Yes to everything here. The Reunion is a Satanic hate crime on all mankind. The writers and producers should have been tried for war crimes.

I had this theory that the bad stuff hurts the good seasons (the ones with significant potential) more than the seasons that were beyond salvation.
From that point of view I find seasons 4 and 5 the biggest victims.
The Reunion is trash from the get-go, how can you hate it even more?

Season 7 is boring beige and season 8 is ugly brown-orange. What's worse? It looks like soap with a soap-phobia.
And I tend to perceive the good stuff that did happen as the season's saving grace (sort of the opposite of seasons 4 and 5).

It's a dilemma of epic proportions that's been tormenting the poor Dynasty fans for decades.

Season 7 is better than season 8 and The Reunion.
Season 8 is a nonentity and as I've said, the other one is just, Satanic.

But, like those awful Dallas movies, easier to ignore. I refuse to acknowledge it as being an official part of the Dynasty saga.
I have yet to see any of the Dallas movies.

The first one "J.R. returns" is actually quite good, much better than the last years of the actual series, but the 2nd one is sadly boring crap.
