Princess Eugenie marries some guy at a cost to the tax payer of £3 million. Does anyone even care about this minor royal or even know who she is? I think this is one of the few times I've heard about her since she was born.

I have to agree that it wasnt worth 2 million (i heard) to the tax payer but Royalty and weddings seem to get people to travel form all over to see and the Royals generate a lot of income for UK

Fergie was an embarrassment to the Royal family, and her 2 daughters seem to do little work wise and go on lots of hols and Im glad Prince Charles has streamlined the Royals = Fergie i believe turned the royal family into a soap opera with some help from Diana - the press used to say more "Pallas than dallas" and some of the "mystique" went

Asides from Prince Harry the younger generation dont do it for me - Bland and blander (Wills and waity Katie) are so boring and she now dresses like some middle aged women and her penchant for naff hats!! I dont get it!!" Even Meghan hasnt lived up to promise and is no more than a glorified clothes horse in her £4000 dresses and coats and needs to do something soon re her father

I have a HUGE amount of respect for the Queen and what she does and I have always liked Charles and the hardest working Royal Princess Anne, who just gets on with it and has raised 2 very nice and normal children. No manipulation and staged photo opportunities like her former sister in law .

I wish Eugenie and her husband well and hope they have a happy life together

William and Kate have more genuine class than any of them. I guess that makes them "boring."

I was disappointed to learn that the BBC didn't carry the service as I had looked forward to watch it on TV like I did when Harry & Meghan got married earlier this year. Luckily I did find a live broadcast on the Royal Family's YouTube channel so I watched it.

It was a lovely ceremony. I felt a bit bad for the groom though as he looked so nervous. Princess Eugenie looked really happy. It was also brave of her to wear a dress that showed off her Scolosis scar in the back.

I love the British Royal family. Growing up Princess Diana and Fergie were my favorites. I also used to think that Fergie and Andrew made a cute couple. They seem to genuinely love each other even though they are divorced. It's not like with Prince Charles and Diana, who probably shouldn't have gotten married in the first place and yet I am glad they did or else William and Harry wouldn't exist. I like Harry & Meghan and William & Kate too. The latter couple might seem a bit boring to some but after all the scandals in the 1990s I think that happy, solid unions are what "the firm" need. ;)

Also I was glad to see that Prince Philip was able to attend the wedding. I am sure it meant a lot to Eugenie to have both her grandparents and her parents there for her big day. :)

P.S. Where did the time go?
It seems like it wasn't that long ago that Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie were little girls who were dressed in matching dresses!

Or okay 1996 was a long time ago. But still it's odd how the time tends to move faster for every year that passes by.

Anyway I wish the Royal wedding couple of today all the best. :)

"...There was Demi Moore, dressed as the mistress who turns up 10 minutes late to a married man’s funeral..."

It was gracious of Eugenie and Jack to postpone both their engagement announcement and their wedding date to give Harry the opportunity to go first on both counts as his senior royal status warranted.

But the pregnancy announcement at the postponed wedding is starting to make the whole thing look like the Friends episode with Monica's thunder.

I know who she is but I had no idea she was getting married until the one TV station covering it suddenly announced that fact.

If it had been on Saturday night - my time - as was Harry and Meghan's I would have watched.

Bland and blander (Wills and waity Katie) are so boring

I had high hopes William and Kate would be a little different to what we expect traditionally from the Royal family but I fear they're now controlled by the very thing Diana spoke of - The Firm. Diana may have started off as a wallflower but by the end she was a powerhouse. The announcement of her death sent grown hardened men I worked with at the time to silence. Everyone was effected by her death. Did she have her critics? Of course. She manipulated the media as much as they used and abused her and everyone who purchased or read those glossy women's magazines or newspapers with another hair-raising story or photos of Diana had blood on their hands. And that's being brutally honest.

I just don't get Kate. She is 36 years old ( the same age of Diana's death) and is bland. I want personality, colour, a common touch. I'm just not seeing this. Meanwhile Prince Harry and Meghan have just toured Australia, New Zealand and other countries and set alight the places they visited. Speaking with relatives who specially drove to Dubbo to be in the presence of Royalty and the downpour, they said it was hard to explain how uplighting it was for the people of Dubbo and surrounding districts currently experiencing hardship with another prolonged drought. Harry (to me anyway) appears to have inherited his late mothers abilities. If this brings a smile to kids and adults alike I say the more the merrier. Sometimes there is too much sadness in this world.

By the way. I believe in Australia becoming a Republic. And that is nothing against the Royal Family.

I feel that Kate is trying far far too hard to fit into her premature shoes as Queen (consort). I love the Queen now but have zero respect for Charles after his affair with Camilla. He doesn't deserve the throne. From everything I've read about him, he's a spoiled brat who goes running to mummy everytime he doesn't get his own way. Princess Diana had EVERY RIGHT to strike back at them the way she did.

I do like Meghan but am waiting for the disappointment that might occur once the dust settles. I just find Kate incredibly boring now and she seems to have lost her own personality to this role she feels she has to take on.

As for Eugenie, I really like her - she seems genuine and she works for a living. Plus she is born to the royal family which means she deserves more coverage than Meghan or Kate - it just doesn't work that way given the (ridiculous) chain of command.

Oh, Diana was mentally ill. The police even had to be called on her when she wouldn't stop harassing one of her married lovers, for God's sake.

And, on instinct, I hate Meghan. She's exactly the grasping phony the white trash side of her family says she is.

I think that both her and big sister are a bunch of freeloaders who wouldn't know what a hard days work was - freebie holidays yes! Parents dont exactly set a good example

Absolutely, Diana was scheming and manipulative and used the press for her own means
I always called her the Katherine Wentworth of the Royal family, nice to look at but slightly kookie boo and yes she stalked a lover - think it was the heart surgeon who died recently

Meghan - mmmmmm - the jury is still out, but she needs to sort out the probs with her father,

I just don't get Kate. She is 36 years old ( the same age of Diana's death) and is bland

A royal Stepford wife devoid of any personality, she is just beige and bland - wave, smile, have glossy hair and .......... oh............ breed.

Love the Queen, Charles and Anne - who is one of the hardest working royals out there - I also like how she has brought up her 2 children

and also think Harry is a great guy

same goes for Princess Margaret's two children who are "normal" and hold down a job, Linley is very creative like his father

Barbara on this point I will disagree with you. In this regard it's Meghan's extended family which needs to be called out for their behaviour and the media for exploiting the situation. None of us know for sure what goes on behind closed doors but I suspect Meghan remains in contact with her father but he is kept at a distance. As for her half sister Samantha Markle or Samantha Grant - depending how she wishes to be represented in the spotlight - I'm assuming Markle because it provokes public interest and sells books.

Meghan is the youngest daughter/sister here. Her father and half-siblings are adults. Grow up and stop carrying on like you're owed something. Until Meghan and Harry became an item I had never heard of Samantha Markle/Grant. I don't blame Meghan one bit for distancing herself away from the family and as the youngest daughter it isn't her job to mend the problems with her father or half siblings.

Samantha Markle/Grant took advantage of her 15 minutes of fame. Well my dear, you had it. Now go away.

My favourite royal is Lady Sarah Chatto (Princess Margaret's daughter) because she always comes across as being really down to earth and capable of showing genuine emotion and warmth.

Completely agree. Kate is nice but dull. She hasn't done a proper day's work in her life and exactly what has she achieved since marrying into the Royal Family? Total waste of space that is costing us millions for nothing in return.

Sure Diana had flaws but she used her position to achieve something positive, for example changing attitudes on HIV and raising the profile of issues such as unexploded land mines. Kate goes to the ballet.

Oh, Meghan's family has behaved horrendously. And it's exactly what she deserves.

I have some sympathy for Charles and Camilla. History would have been very different if they'd been allowed to marry in the first place.

True, but it doesn't change the fact that if Charlie had any balls he would have spoken out regardless of protocol. Look at his uncle and what he went through for Mrs Simpson. Charles cares more about being King and that status that comes with it. I can't forgive either of them. Camilla even encouraged him to marry Diana. Neither of them care for anyone but themselves.

He'll never be my King.

Rant over.
