In true GoT spirit, Maisie Williams (Arya) said that she doesn't think anyone will be satisfied with how GoT ends.

Sounds promising to me!!! I am deeply hoping against a happily ever after ending with Jon & Daenerys becoming king & queen of Westeros. So if the show doesn't end like that, I will be happy about one thing at least.

GoT is not a fairytale story, so it shouldn't get a fairytale ending either.

Noone (apart from the producers) is happy that the show ends, so why should it end happy? I'm hoping for total destruction and i'd love it if Cersei and Tyrion were the only two surviving of all the ones we love... and they just HAVE to get along, because noone else is left. They will both hate that... and each other. THE END :D

I think Cercei will die because she was told by that fortune teller that all her kids would die before her, a new younger more beautiful woman would take over and that her brother would kill her.

She of course expected that brother to by Tyrion, so she wanted him dead. But I think it will be Jaime that kills Cercei. But not the real Jaime. I think Jaime will die in the white walker war, and that Arya will take his face and use it when she confronts Cercei, and kill her.

Just a theory I have.

It's impossible to please everyone and I just want a good story told.

I want Samwell Tarly on the iron throne. And I'm not kidding. Not gonna happen, but I still want it to.

Me too.

There's a reason why I loved the conclusion to THE SHIELD and SONS OF ANARCHY and a reason why I hated the conclusion to DEXTER and wasn't too impressed with the ending of BREAKING BAD.

It wouldn't surprise me if the Whitewalkers slaughter everyone and it's the Whitewalker King that ends up on the iron throne. And that might actually be pretty cool.

Regardless of the ending I'm reliably informed half of Australia will be taking a sickie tomorrow (Monday) as this is when it will air, around lunch time I believe. Then of course I have to deal with the internet as those wishing to view by illegal means will drag the internet speeds back to the dark ages. Kind of ironic given its Games of Thrones.

I can't quite put into words how much I'm relishing this new and final series. I'm really hoping that whoever ends up on the throne turns out to be Ayra with a face on.

I just want carnage, war, death and betrayal in abundance....so damn excited.

Do you have a watershed thingy going on over there? Where they don't air shows before a certain time if they are violent, contain nudity etc...? I'm just wondering, if it was to air here through the day it would be strongly edited. Then, of course, we would get the full version after 9pm.

Here in Germany it depends. GOT is a pay tv production. And if you watch it on a pay tv channel, it'always unedited but PIN protected. You have to enter the PIN to confirm that you are about to watch stricktly adult content - same as with porn.
A pay tv channel that edits content would be simply not accepted here.

I hadn't thought about that. Now I'm wondering about our TV subscription. Here it will be shown at 2am so even that has me wondering about the watershed and now I'm not even sure in the watershed affects our Sky subscription.

Oh yeah, I know that. I was more about the possibility of some TV subscriptions editing it depending on the time it's shown in that particular country. I just hadn't thought about the laws surrounding the timing of the showing and if that affected anything.

I remember reading somewhere here that THE WALKING DEAD was edited on our TV, again though that could be down to what channel it aired on.

Can you imagine trying to watch an edited version of GoT ? :giggle:

I never watch live. Usually I would save a whole series and binge watch, as soon as the final episode has aired, but this time around, with it being the final season, I'll be watching weekly because spoilers will be absolutely everywhere. Unfortunately I finish work anytime between 2am & 5am, so will have to catch up as soon as I finish.

I'm the same. I'm currently waiting for

LINE OF DUTY
DYNASTY
RIVERDALE
ST: DISCOVERY
THE ORVILLE

to finish before I jump in.

The only shows I've watched weekly are LOST, GAME OF THRONES, THE WALKING DEAD & SONS OF ANARCHY

Game of Thrones is screened here in Australia on a Satellite service named Foxtel. My understanding is the series will screen at exactly the same time as in the U.S.A. This explains why it's being screened late this (Monday) morning. I haven't subscribed to Foxtel for many years so I'm unable to answer if the channel requires a PIN to unlock it as Matthew has pointed out.

I really hope to see the last episode live, but I think HBO Nordic will crash. It almost always does when a new episode of GoT is released. When it's the final episode, it will be a higher pressure on the site than ever before.

I will probably end up walking around covering my eyes and ears all day after the final episode to avoid spoilers. :hair:

2017 I think (unless it is 2016)

Really? I loved it. I thought she had an amazing journey. I remember what an emotional punch it was when she was training and she had to become nobody and hide the needle and all her memories even though she really didn't have much of a childhood after Ned's beheading. Others have suffered, but she and Sansa suffered as children, and to watch them survive and thrive is very satisfying.
