It's a boy! (I'm wrong again, was so sure it was a girl!)

The Duchess of Sussex has given birth to a boy, the Duke of Sussex has announced.

Prince Harry said they were both "absolutely thrilled" and thanked the public for their support during the pregnancy.

He said Meghan and the baby were doing "incredibly well".

The duke added they were still thinking about names for the infant, who was delivered at 05:26 BST on Monday.

In 2013, shortly after the Kate had her first baby, this guy was interviewed outside the hospital saying he heard the Royal baby was a black boy. Was it a bad joke or a premonition said 5 years too early?

Congratulations Meghan and Prince Harry.

The question is... where on earth is she going to put her hands now?

I'd lay odds it's back to the old "flash the wedding ring while touching the hair" bit.

@Mel O'Drama I'm so glad I'm not the only one who gets irritated by the flashing (sorry the constant flashing) of the ring.

God it is annoying isn't it? I like her but that makes me question things.

OK bizarre statement coming up.

I can't picture her with a wee boy. I don't know why. I just can't.

His name is....Archie....
*Groan* Will parents never learn?
I call a grown man in his 60s Archie Boy. Not that Archie or Archibald is his real name. Simply, his parents addressed him as that when a baby. It caught on with uncles, aunts and grandparents, and then there was no stopping it among relatives and family friends. From all within this extended circle, even young‘uns, he’s had no other identity than that. Boy.

I like the name Archie but is his official name Archie or Archibald? Archibad has more gravitas.

“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are pleased to announce they have named their first born child: Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor,” their royal Instagram account announced. “This afternoon Their Royal Highnesses introduced Her Majesty The Queen to her eighth great-grandchild at Windsor Castle. The Duke of Edinburgh and The Duchess’ mother were also present for this special occasion.” http://www.justjared.com/tags/archie-mountbatten-windsor/

Yes, Archie son of Harry (Hairy Henry) appears to be another family joke. Prince George – called ‘Tips’ by his parents (after the tea brand) and ‘PG Tips’ by others punning on P.G – had already laid claim to the name Archie before the Sussexes took a deep fancy to it. Harrison was Harry’s joking way of distinguishing his Archie from the other, so the story goes.
