Will Anders pull a Karen McCluskey and confess to murder (both Mac and Trixie) before kicking the bucket?

Will Adam save his Daddy's hide by claiming Blake suggested hiring divers - "why would I do that if I knew their were bodies down there?"

No, Adam pretended to search for the ring but hoped to discover Trixie's body. Mac's body was a surprise to him.

But it wasn't a surprise for us. Adam didn't know the mac body story. He wouldn't do that to his father. Of course he wanted to dig the body of Trixie out of the lake. But was it useful for us, viewers, to know that right now ? We could have Adam/Stven flashback after.

It was OK but not nearly as exciting as the last season's cliffhanger.

The story with Trixie came from nowhere and I just don't understand why Blake and Cristal choose that moment to got married.

Only Liam's destiny was a little suspenseful until I realized that the official synopsis of season 3 mentions him... I guess he will be amnesiac so Adam could continue to stay around.

There was definitely no catchy or shocking moment like when Claudia shot Celia last season.

We could have Adam/Stven flashback after
Adam got the information in two parts: first from Steven (how Anders got rid of the body) and after that the details of the accident itself when he overheard Fallon's confession to Liam.

When Liam said "just make sure the next one (ring) floats" he knew he had a plausible reason to hire the divers.
It's also a nice reference to Alexis' ring in the lily pond, and how it turned Joseph into a murderer.

Blake could use this information to blackmail Anders in order to keep him in the mansion.
And to be honest, who wants to watch Sammy Jo and Anders being nice to customers in some stupid hotel?

I can't wait until Liam's SORASed child shows up next season and he and Fallon will end up competing for Liam's affections. He will probably turn out to be a sociopathic bad seed that will set out to destroy anyone standing between him and his long lost father so he can have his dad all to himself. And I'm sure Fallon won't like the idea of playing stepmommy either. Having her new fiance's kid hanging around will surely cramp her style.

Underwhelming.....

There was just no nuance to anything that happened in this finale. The only development that was kinda fun to watch was Dominique play everyone, especially her kids Jeff and Monica.

Trixie?? I am sorry but, WTF???? Out of left field much?? And no build up to it at all. Out of the blue Fallon feels "compelled" to tell Liam the story of Trixie and her death, because Liam's "shocking" secret is revealed about his long-lost kid, and since the show is completely about Fallon, her secret had to be bigger than his I guess?? I agree with you @thomaswak that the way the Trixie plot was written there was no suspense created and the writers telegraphed everything about the final reveal of Trixie's body in the lake the moment Fallon told the story to Liam. A big wasted opportunity there. And at the end of the day what does this Trixie story give the show? It might give Fallon some angst for an episode in Season Three, and that will be it. End of story, on to the next plot we can burn through in an episode, maybe two. That is the way this show is written.

And I have to say this, when the bodies in the lake were discovered, all I kept thinking was how stupid is Anders to dump two, three, maybe more bodies in the lake right behind the Carrington Mansion??? In Season One it seemed that Anders was intelligent, was the ultimate fixer for the Carrington Family, had a mysterious, almost dangerous aura about him, and would never, ever, be so stupid to dump bodies where they would be found and ultimately implicate the Carringtons and himself. Unfortunately in Season Two Anders, along with every other character it seems, needed to be written as unintelligent as possible because that was the only way the plots could move forward. Maybe Fallon has suffered the most from this. Once again, after her spouting off to Blake about how much smarter she is than him and what a better business person she is, blah blah blah, once again she got played by Blake and Crystal regarding Culhane and the soccer team, she got played by Kirby regarding Femperial, and Adam outplayed them all. How many times now has Adam out maneuvered Fallon?? And yet she has learned nothing from it. The way Fallon is written, I would never let her near any company I owned in a million years.

The other cliffhanger elements, like Adam bashing Liam in the head with the flower pot and Liam ultimately falling into the pool in a stupor were predictable beyond belief. I actually said to the TV "Just fall into the pool already" because what else was supposed to happen but that? And as others have pointed out, Liam is slated to be in Season Three so no suspense there as to Liam's fate.

As I said above, The Colby plot actually provided some surprise. Jeff's diagnosis was a good twist that I did not see coming. The man who prides himself on his intelligence being stripped of that is powerful. I wonder tho, is this diagnosis real?? Is Jeff being manipulated by Dominique, possibly/probably in conjunction with Blake and Adam, in order to get rid of him so that he stops interfering with Blake, and Dominique then gets her money?? And Dominique taking Adam's cufflink from the faked crime scene in the parking garage, what is her game there?? These felt like true Dynasty moments. And I very much hope Dominique becomes a series regular because she is turning out to be a force to be reckoned with, and Michael Michele has a sinister quality simmering underneath that this show desperately needs to exploit to the fullest. Where the show failed with Alexis, they could redeem themselves with Dominique.

In terms of an exciting cliffhanger, this one failed. It is almost too bad that the show blew their wad in the Spring with the shooting of Mark Jennings, Alexis' suicide attempt, and the loss of Crystal's baby. Now THAT was an exciting cliffhanger! Oh well......

So Season Two ends. It's final episode a mixed bag, very much how the season was as a whole. I have no idea where the show goes from here. I am sure the "creative" staff have no clue as well if this season is any indication. My hope is that the producers actually sit down and come up with a season bible and plan out where the story goes for Season Three. Fingers crossed......

I just don't understand why Blake and Cristal choose that moment to got married
Cristal (and Blake, to a lesser extent) fretted onscreen about keeping Fallon in the dark about their plan and the faux break-up...but then they go out of their way to set up that ticky-tacky arbor thing next to the lake, hire a minister, and (apparently) invite several people to their wedding ceremony. Did they think no one would mention to Fallon that they just attended the wedding of her father and Cristal 2.0?

If they were so concerned about keeping their status a secret, they should have done something similar to what Fallon and Liam did--rush off to a Justice of the Peace. Of course it was all a ruse to get everyone out to the lakeside in time for two unexpected wedding crashers.

Liam's "shocking" secret is revealed about his long-lost kid
An idea: if one of Liam's relatives took in the baby to raise, that ten year-old might very well be an heir to the Van Kirk fortune, a fortune which includes what we used to call Carrington-Atlantic. Hmmmm…..

Liam ultimately falling into the pool in a stupor were predictable beyond belief.
And he overdid the "woozy" wandering act. It bordered on comical. Shame too, because he nailed the "I just got hit over the head with a flower pot" reaction.

Mac's body wouldn't spontaneously surface, they needed someone to search the lake.
It's purely plot-driven, but it was funny that both Blake and Adam were surprised about the second body - but not the same body.

I do wonder, what was Adam thinking when he put Liam in that room? Did he think he was dead, or worse, that he was still alive? If Liam dies then nothing will be linked to Adam because Liam could have died like Brooke in Melrose Place:lol:

This way, we have better cliffhanger : who is Trixie ? What did really happen ? And most importantly : we never saw that coming.
This was my reaction to the Trixie plot. Why do these writers believe they have to spell out everything to the viewer...oh that's right....tweens cannot think.

Overall the episode left me a little deflated. It lacked suspense unlike the Season 1 ending cliffhanger. I do like this version of Dominique as there is an air of mystery about her. I'm still trying to figure out why she removed Adam's cufflink. It was a cufflink right? I never thought I'd say this about Liam but the guy has turned into a wet blanket. And why does Fallon get so uppity about a 10 year old secret? Fallon if you are going to flip out as skeletons from people's pasts are revealed you better pencil in some therapy sessions.

I did enjoy the Adam and Liam scene outside the manse but I'm left wondering how long can the writers continue Adam down this dangerous path before the character burns out. Anders and Sam's story was a bit of a yawn. Can I just say this hospital in Atlanta is something special. First up. Alexis makes a remarkable recovery from having her face planted into an open fire to having the quickest recovery from plastic surgery. We now have Anders - after having a heart attack - walk out the day after. This place offers miracles unheard of in medical circles.

Another major flaw I've noted with this episode. Too much Fallon. The actress is certainly earning her wage but it's just too much.

No Bo :(

Others have pointed out Liam is already slated for Season 3 so it was a bold move for the writers to have Adam beat Liam around the head with a pot plant. What happens next season when this fact is revealed to the rest of the family? At some point the Carrington family will need to walk from the lake back to the house right? If the writing team give Liam amnesia then that will be a cop out.

Adam has Steven hospitalized. Adam pushes Alexis into an open fire. Now he whacks Liam over the head. Something has to give with Adam.

Yeah, it's not the fact that Adam did it, but how could he not expect any consequences? Even if he thought that Liam was already dead, and he planned to make his body disappear, wouldn't that be suspicious? Especially since Fallon always thinks the worst of her brother?
At some point the Carrington family will need to walk from the lake back to the house right?
Only to discover another body in the water!

It would appear Fallon has forgotten the advice Alexis gave to her before leaving for Europe; be mindful of Adam. Yet, she doesn't hold back at taking pot shots at Adam. So what happens next season when it's discovered Adam nearly killed Liam? It doesn't leave much room for him, especially when Alexis or Steven return.

The family already saw Adam strike Fallon, and when Liam fingers Adam as the one who hit him over the head...well, there will be a few more gears clicking in the heads of the family members. Rather than one big reveal, his true colors might be shown in many, small events like these. Blake is blind to Adam's faults because hey, a lot of Adam's underhanded behavior doesn't strike Blake as problematic. To him, it's a resume enhancer. But the rest of the family can't ignore Adam's unstable behavior and should start thinking maybe Fallon's right about him.

Adam will likely feel Cristal is taking time away from his quality time with Blake and start scheming against her too. She doesn't strike me as the type to need to be hit over the head [/snort] with the idea that someone is out to get her, so it might be fun to watch her match him in craftiness (like when she out-schemed Alexis with the dead plants) as opposed to Fallon's over-emotional (and child-like) retaliations.

Of course Adam's attack on Liam might just be downplayed by Adam as the result of their arguing, that Liam had said mean things to him [/sads] just as they seem to have written off his hitting Fallon as the result of her needling him into doing it. The witnesses at the Atlantix offices saw Adam and Jeff fighting, so maybe Adam can claim he was upset about being fired. Depending on how they depict Jeff's "death" after the fight, Monica might start firing her bon mots in his direction as well, since she still thinks the plan is to implicate Adam in her brother's "death". If Dominique is holding onto that cufflink as an insurance policy, Monica might not be in immediate danger from Adam, but she will still likely be on Adam's list if she embarrasses him enough.

At this point nobody cares what another family member has to say, it's a complete war zone.
(like when she out-schemed Alexis with the dead plants)
It wasn't so difficult to out-smart Alexis...

Trying not to get too detail/spoiler-y...

I think the Season 1 cliffhanger better fit the image of what a 1980s nighttime soap fan expects from a season-ending cliffhanger, so most people will say season 1 was better for that reason alone. In my personal opinion Season 1 was better simply because it was easier to follow and understand the stakes of what was happening. By :45 into this episode, the action was becoming more about reactions to dialogue-based revelations, with precious few visually-compelling events. I had to listen closely to what they were saying, and I confess I lost track of who was trying to put one over on whom, and what the characters knew and didn't know with respect to back-stabbing and scheming. Just as I got a grasp of what was happening with one story, they hit us with another. With so many characters converging at once, it was inevitable that it was more talk than action--but I think some of it could have been addressed in the first half and left on reserve for next season.

There were some good visuals (especially the drone cameras doing overhead shots) but nothing as iconic as the burning stables in season one. You could watch the stables burn and you knew what the worst possible scenario could be for the various characters. As of now I have no idea what all these confrontations and accusations mean for the characters in season three--but then, maybe the writers don't, either. Maybe this was just their "everything but the kitchen sink" exercise and they will pick and choose what to pick up in the new season.

It was a cliffhanger, yes, but season 1 was so MUCH better! Not saying it was horrible. I watched the last few minutes. Did I enjoy it...No. I didn't watch all the episode. Who are the bodies? Why do we even care? They weren't even real characters on the cast. I read Jeff faked his death. I haven't seen the entire episode yet. I need to. As I mentioned before I HATE Liam. They should get rid of him. When he showed up for season 2 I got so bored and I tuned out. The way they ended Adam was dumb. I thought he would be worse. So he hit Liam over the head, then he just gathers at that wedding? They could have had him trying to kill someone or something in that last scene. The cliffhanger was NOT that effective. I did not care for the dead bodies (Trixie, a friend of Fallon's and someone else in the lake who I read might be a hitman or something killed mid season or something). Liam in the pool was weak. He needs to die. They need to write him off. I think Fallon and Culhane are gonna end up together by the time the series wraps in season 4. It won't get more than a 4th season. Ratings are TERRIBLE! The Netflix deal will save it until they have enough episodes.

Something similar to last seasons's cliffhanger is the writers got everyone together, put them outside, and they just look around all dumbfounded. Last season's was MUCH MORE BETTER. This season they are all alive and well, looking around like idiots. Last season at least there were a few people in that fire. I don't think anyone cares about the dead bodies. And of course, people are Liam fans. I'm not one of them. That's why I hope they kill him off.

As I mentioned before I HATE Liam. They should get rid of him. They need to write him off.
Liam and Fallon is the n°1 topic on social media when it comes to NuDynasty. Liam is going nowhere.
Unfortunately for you, you'll have to keep your hate in your heart (maybe you can use it creatively, in one of your fanfics, like the one you wrote about Knots Landing)

But anyway, why do you want a fan-favorite off, when you don't watch the show, and you even called for its cancelation ?

I don't think anyone cares about the dead bodies.

It's not about the dead bodies. It never was about the dead bodies. It's about the consequences of those dead bodies. The impact they will have on the story and the characters in season 3. My only concern, is that consequences and character continuity is not the wrong suit of NuDynasty (and I'm polite, because they actually suck at it)

It won't get more than a 4th season.

In 2017, you said :

It probably won't last more than a season.

So please, let me have a few doubts about your analytic (or medium) skills.

Ratings are TERRIBLE! The Netflix deal will save it until they have enough episodes.

First, I'm not sure that Netflix works the way you think. They don't need to have "enough episodes". They renew a show if they have enough streamers. There is also a production cost/streaming number in count.

But they don't need "enough episodes". Netflix even tend to prefer short seasons (10 episodes) for their shows :

Netflix is unabashedly data-driven, with many of its decisions based on algorithms. That’s how the network reportedly switched from the initial (and traditional) 13-episode seasons to seasons of 10 episodes or less. Word is that those shorter seasons are considered optimal for consumption, and any additional episodes beyond 10 a season do not add value, so they are an unnecessary expense for the network.

Or maybe you were talking about The CW needing enough episodes for syndication (4 seasons and 88 episodes I guess) and this would make sense.

Anyway, I know you are going to ignore it, again, and again. But we're in 2019. Ratings are not everything in the streaming world era. And it's not only a Netflix matter. Studios tend to create their own platform, because people have changed the way they watch a show. I'm not asking you to be ok with it. I'm asking you to try to stop denying it.

About Dynasty's future, maybe Netflix will take it over, after season 4 (even if I doubt it) for a 10 episodes season 5. Maybe not. Who are we to know ?

Yet, as long as Dynasty is doing well on the platform, it's possible that they will produce season 5, just like they did for Lucifer's season 4, after Fox canceled it. And so far, Dynasty is having good streaming numbers worldwide on Netflix. And for the platform, that is the only thing that matters.

If Liam is gone I'm too! There have to be more creepy Adam/Liam scenes and more Liam-swims-in-a-pool scenes instead of dying in it. Don't destroy the chemistry he has with Fallon (and Adam ;)) and I wouldn't mind to revisit the wacky Van Kirk family from time to time. The season finale also showed that it's possible to use the Colbys in an effective way. So I hope they stay - including Jeff. The Trixie stuff was weird but I just pretend it's their version of Roger Grimes in the lake. I'm looking forward seeing Sam and Anders working together at the hotel but this story should connect to other characters of course.

Liam is gorgeous, and one of the only good things about this series. They clearly f**ked up NuJeff (when in the original, he was the nice guy), so I think Liam is this show’s version of OG Jeff.

Yes, Liam has an "original Jeff" vibe. I remember that a few fans thought original Jeff was boring. But the character was popular enough and lasted till the very last episode. Because he was also much loved by many other fans.

Liam is the "lovely and charming" character the show needs. We need a balance for all those bitchy/manipulative characters on the show. This show is called Dynasty, not All Nasty

It would appear Fallon has forgotten the advice Alexis gave to her before leaving for Europe; be mindful of Adam. Yet, she doesn't hold back at taking pot shots at Adam.

Exactly. In episode 19, Alexis asked to Fallon :
- to promise her to stay away from Adam
- not to tell Adam that she's gone

And Fallon said "Of course mother"
Well, the very episode after... Fallon crosses Adam and the tells him that Alexis is gone because of him.

Fallon Carrington : business woman of the year. And woman of her word.

The Trixie stuff was weird but I just pretend it's their version of Roger Grimes in the lake.

It also proves that Original Fallon is a superior Fallon : she killed Roger Grimes when she was a little kid, on purpose. She shot him and didn't miss. NuFallon killed Trixie when she was a teenager, by accident :D

Anyway from a soapy standpoint, "falling from the staircase" : ✓ done

About Trixie, it seems that Anders was the one "taking care" of the body, without telling it to either Fallon or Blake. When her body resurfaced, Blake was surprised and told Cristal he was not responsible of this one. Also, in Steven's flashback, he said he saw what his father did. And at this point of time (in Paraguay) he already knows Anders is his father (yet I still want a DNA test about this one)
