Hi everybody!

I have inaugurated my new YouTube Channel of soap-related Top Ten videos with (what else?) the Top Ten "Dallas" episodes. No Season Finales or Season Premieres are included because there will be Top Ten for them.

I hope you enjoy the clips and the comments. More videos coming soon, probably including the other major soaps as well. Any opinion is welcome and necessary! And the episode choice was, of course, subjective (well, Miss Piggy collaborated too!).

I would recommend you post it in both forums because we have members who only stick to their favourite forum. This way, it gives fans of both the shows to enjoy them.

Here is my Top Ten Episodes video for "Knots Landing", excluding Season Premieres and Finales. As you all know, only the first two seasons are released on dvd, so the quality of some of the clips is not too good. I hope you like the video, my choice of episodes and the info I added too. Excellent Toni! It looks great and also some very interesting facts to accompany the clips. For example I didn't realize Barbara Stanwyck actually recommended Jane Wyman for the role after she turned it down. So, can we expect a Dynasty one of these soon?

Thanks a lot, most of the info comes from the very reliable site www.falconcrest.org, whose webmaster Thomas has kindly given his permission to quote them! About the Dynasty one....really?

...Oh come on, who do I want to fool? It´s already in the making. The temp is too big to resist though I think my choices might be more debatable since I clearly tend to like the first 3 seasons better. The video will be on next week very probably.

Here is my first video of the week. This time I went for something a bit more ambitious and, instead of a Top Ten, I decided to do a Top 39. Why this number? Because it turns out to be the number of Season Finales that were aired by the American networks in the 80´s (1980-89) but didn´t end up being Series Finales. So the endings of "Dynasty", "Falcon Crest" and "Flamingo Road" are left out. On the contrary, I did include the fabulous Series Finale of "The Colbys" because it sort of continued on "Dynasty"...

Sorry for the low quality of some of the clips, but you know, better than anyone, how hard can be to get decent clips of "Falcon Crest" or "Dynasty". It´s a countdown list, from the one with a lower number of viewers to the one who topped the list (shhhh...). I used the Nielsen audience numbers for the respective weeks, not the overall ranking for the whole season nor the "share" info. I hope TPTB allow me to keep this video online, but so far it seems there´s hardly anything in it that deserves my beheading...

As usual, please express your opinions in this thread (though I will post the video in the other forums' thread for my Top Ten videos). Enjoy the images and think that some excellent cliffhangers were seen by not too many people (for the era, because now all of them surpass most of the cable shows...).

Wow, Toni! That was incredible, absolutely brilliant to watch and in a way another cliffhanger as I anxiously watch the countdown wondering if I managed to predict what the top three would be - I failed!

Thank you so much for this, it's truly amazing to see so many rich and dramatic scenes all on one video.

This was amazing Toni! You are very busy these days! So many iconic moments packed into those 13 minutes. And a few surprises. I was surprised to see Pam's crash rate so highly considering it was season 10 already. And also surprised not to see 'Ewing Inferno' in the top 10. All in all it was a wonderful trip down memory land jammed full of some of soaps memorable moments. Thank you!

Voilà my second "Knots"-centric video, this time for the Top 40 + 1 (40 for the anniversary it will celebrate in December and one plus just because!) best quotes. I hope you like seeing those clips again (or even for the first time, if this is possible).

This one was really hard to finish, not only because there was a myriad of great lines to choose from, but also because the sound quality of the clips post Season 2 is quite horrendous to be honest! I tried my best!

Funny how I didn´t need to use anything from the latter seasons when I made the Dallas quotes video, but I really wanted to use something from all the "Knots" years in this one! I´d say that dialogues always were remarkable in KL though sometimes the storylines were a bit disappointing.

PS: You are about to see an Abby-fest! And an eye-roll included too!

Next: Top 38 (+1) "Falcon Crest" Best Quotes. Probably...

I was thinking the #1 darkest moment would have either been Jock's death or when Ray tried to kill JR and Southfork caught on fire with everybody in it either unconscious or asleep.

The concept "darkest moments of Dallas" made for a very interesting video!

I clicked on this and it said "This video contains content from WBTV, who has blocked it on copyright grounds."

I don't understand why it is that there are lots of Dallas scenes on YouTube whose content would also be WBTV but they're not blocked. What's the difference in how they decide whether or not to block a video with Dallas scenes?

Make sure you have a copy of the darkest moments video saved for yourself in case that video gets blocked too
