I make myself a Bloody Mary, put on rubber gloves, get a stack of magazines and cut out lots of random letters. Then I spend a relaxing evening watching Murder She Wrote while pasting these letters onto a piece of paper to make random threatening/blackmail letters that I send out to anyone that takes my fancy.

I was going to say, I put on some music and organize a random closet or drawer so that my boredom at least becomes productive ... but suddenly that seems banal. Mail felony does seem like a more entertaining way to pass the time.

I can't remember the last time I was bored (excluding school and work, of course) but sometimes I feel like doing nothing and then I just sit on the couch and smoke a cigarette and recharge my batteries, as it were.
But you can also do it without the cigarette.

I usually clean or call my friend Mary. Or watch Sue Ellen and JR (not that I need to be bored to do that).

I don't often get bored though.

Kill two birds with one stone, work on my writing and do some crafting at the same time. And it's recycling so helping the environment.

I haven't really hit the boredom levels yet, with working from home (and my line of work), there is usually a steady trickle of work to deal with.

First I started this thread, then did some schoolwork for today's podcast examination assignment.

Usually I take a long nap when I'm very bored, and wake up in a much better mood.

But..... now I am rethinking that method. I need to collect some magazines.

I have managed to put off some online training I was meant to do on lockdown while shielding, despite being online all day for about 10 weeks. I'm going to have to complete it before I go back to work.

I think of a few of my favourite things and then it doesn't seem so bad.

Although I'd like to point out that my favourite things don't include stuff like 'brown paper packages tied up with strings'. Some weirdos around.

I’ve changed. Cleaning has now become my go to activity when I want to get out of other chores that I fancy even less. At which point, I immerse myself fully in the joys of cleaning and all those fresh scents. I take as much time as it needs, to get me out of other chores. Besides I am the only one versed in the art of washing machine and dishwasher operation. Plus I am the only one aware of the full capabilities of the 900w Microwave/Convection/Grill machines, having memorised the entire manual before it fell into the shredder. And the only one how all the recording devices work and what all the switches on the pest repellers actually do. So no one in the family dares to cross me, especially as my rates are reasonable.

I come to soapchat and dig up threads from before I joined.
I used to do that a lot in my early years. Then I saw someone complaining about someone else doing it and I stopped. Although I don’t really think of myself as having joined. I’m just visiting.
