Oh, but did you know they added a corridor after the season 3 retooling of the mansion set, i.e. moving of the staircase? Suddenly it's L-shaped. In other words, when you arrive upstairs the master bedroom and most of the other bedrooms are still to the left, but instead of the corner guest room to the right where Claudia had stayed in S2, there is now a whole new corridor (apparently Amanda's room is down that one in S6).

Surprisingly, that does make sense, because that's above that left wing of Filoli (where the kitchen and the accompanying servants' quarters were). I'm not sure if we ever actually see that corridor, or we only see people entering and exiting it. Of course, it only makes sense if it's a very short corridor, because the second floor doesn't actually cover the entire left wing.
Actually, the set stopped here. Of course, we are supposed to believe there was a corridor but there was any. Amanda's bedroom is the conservatory room.

Off topic, but:

One headline, on the cover of the rag Reveal, where photos of Blake and Alexis were for Krystle to see, is:

Are you married to an extra-terrestrial? Page 6

LOL.

Not an error, but;

look closely when Alexis' car goes over the bridge in season 7, she's wearing a pink dress, but in the car sits a man in a black suit.

Low budget and a general FuYo-attitude from the makers, make stuntman/stuntdummy cry.

Typical Aaron Spelling production.

Why expensively shoot a crash, when you can recycle stock footage from a movie even though the driver doesn't resemble your main character.

Generally the stock footage and establishing shots Dynasty used was laughingly bad. I remember the derision when Alexis and Dex came to London for their wedding, and they recycled footage from what looked like the 1960s lol.

I just watched this the other night and yes I laughed. And earlier in the story when Alexis joins Dex and Amanda at the cabin she breaks the news that they will all travel to London together so she and Dex can marry. She says they will marry in the village where she grew up. I couldn't make out if it was Merstham in Surrey or Mersham Kent. I think it's Merstham in Surrey as that's closer to London though. Anyways the church that Alexis and Dex marry in is quite clearly not an old English village church. It has to be some quite modern for the time building in Los Angeles. And don't get me started on the completely lacklustre wedding. Who are those guests? Why is it in a cathedral sized venue when there is only one guest that anybody knows? Amanda! If Alexis is such a rich and powerful mega socialite diva why doesn't she have any of her friends at her wedding?

The Dynasty vacuum at it's best.

Although i must admid that i never noticed that there was someone else in the car when it fell down, before i read that here that the scene was from some movie ... even though i watched that episode at least 10 times over the years.

Mother, you've changed!

The shot of falling car was taken from 1984 thriller "The impulse". The film got $2,773,433 of box office so it wasn't completely unknown production.

Of course even with the stock footage they always helpfully included the Yellow font, so we would know the show had left Denver! Like, if you don't flash "Paris" across the Eiffel Tower people will think it's the replica at King's Island?

Many children watched Dynasty, so they probably tried to keep the educational aspect of geography to attract young viewers. At least until Moldova

Reminds me of, "I'd like to place a call to Paris.... (Dramatic pause followed by eyeroll) Yes, the one in France!"

2017 I think (unless it is 2016)

Ironically, we needed Denver to be identified as "Denver" most of all, since they never filmed there except in "Carousel."

How the hell did the person taking snaps of Blake and Ashley canoodling in the pool room avoid detection? The pictures are taken from the inside as you see when Krystle gets them.

Maybe Hilda behind the curtains with itchy fingers!

In season 9 Blake talks about taking Krystle to Paris where they honeymooned. Only problem is, they honeymooned in Rio.

That is laziness really worked at by the writers. So easy to check.

Yes and the first time they honeymooned somewhere in the Pacific I think.

Also Blake tells of Virginia about a trip at Cape Cod that exists only in his mind. Oh and the fact that Krystle loooovvess sewing except we never saw her doing that. Never.

That is laziness really worked at by the writers. So easy to check.
I'm not sure it was so easy but they should have paid someone to check that. Or used the 2 executive story editors and 6 (!!) story editors they had that year.

Is season 2 the season to be if you want to gawk at Joan's natural hair?
It seems to be impossible to figure out when in wig, fake or real.

Why did they change her hair so much, when she had seemingly naturally good hair?
