Rlr718, if you were to take part in Mastermind (a quiz show) what would be your specialist subject?

Well I have never heard of the show mastermind. But my specialist subject if applicable would tv or music. I think I have slot of knowledge in those areas.

The way it works on the gameshow is you pick a subject that you believe you could answer any question the quizmaster would ask you. So you would pick a specialist subject and while TV or music is your strong area, you wouldn't be as general as that. For example, you could pick a TV show and even pick a period from that TV show. You could pick an artist and either be quizzed about that artist or the music they have released/performed.


We know you like both Kylie and Depeche Mode, so you could choose those, and if you chose Depeche Mode you can narrow it down to the 90s or even 90-94 where you believe you would get every answer correct.

It can be anything you want, just narrow the scope to something you would be happy with.

From my point of view and why I ask the question is, I'm curious by what each and every one of us (that take part) would say we know the best, or what our hobbies could be etc...

A follow-up question could be "where did you first experience this" or "how did you come to like/love that subject"

1. What do you do for a living?

Currently I work in retail as a merchandising coordinator and I am also a key carrier which is part of management. I have also worked for a number of years in customer service.

2. Were you a member of the tellytalk.net forums prior to the 2016 crash. If so, what username did you post under?

I think I was in either 2014 or 2015 but was not here too long. I think my handle was the same. Time probably prevented me from staying

3. What are your favourite game shows?

I do like Jeopardy and I like wheel of fortune but don’t watch too much. There are alotnof game show reboots and it’s a bit overkill in my opinion. Aside from my regular standard programs I watch which I do basically on demand I don’t watch much else.

4. What are your favourite sitcoms?

Oh the list the list (flings a giant scroll across the room) lol
These are my favorite favorites
Mash, the nanny, bewitched, the Addams family, the munsters, grace under fire, the golden girls. This is just to name a few. That I have seen just about every episode.

5. What forums, if any, other than the tellytalk.net forums do you post on?

I don’t post anywhere else. I don’t have that kind of time. But many moons ago I started off on an old online service called
Compuserve that had forums for different things. Soaps was one of them. Thinking back now that was all pretty antiquated back then.

Hi @bmasters9 Thank you, I am in northern New Jersey. About 5 miles from the New York State border and about 35 miles northwest of manhattan.

AHA! Well in that case then some unknown info. I am a big fan of yes. I would say there 70s music would be my specialty. Basically the classic line ups of which there were 2 main of. I’ve also seen them live 6 times.
I became interested in yes because I remember my parents had the album close to the edge and I put 2 and 2 together when I was a kid and 90125 was released. Both very different albums.

2. Are you a fan of Whitney Houston who is also from New Jersey?

i like a few Whitney songs from her early days But otherwise I am
Not a big fan. She has an amazing voice. Her rendition of the national anthem is one of the best I have ever heard.

It is a still shot from the video for say something, yes. Right
Now say something is my favorite actually I love the bass line and the funky sound. It’s classic Kylie sound. I do really magic a lot though too. I can’t wait for the new album to drop in its entirety. I have already pre saved it in Apple Music and will likely purchase it in iTunes or something too just to show support for our girl.
I do like a lot of the songs on fever and I love Aphrodite as well

3. What do you like to do in your free time?

For a long time I was a voracious reader which I try to get back into but my schedule has been pretty frenetic. Obviously I like tv and movies and music. But I also have an interest in photography and have dabbled in that. Strictly amateur.
