What do you think are the most iconic costumes for the ladies of Dynasty? For me...

Dominique has to easily be the gray fur trimmed outfit she wears the first time she meets Alexis. Amazing costume and amazing scene! I also found her lame gown and jacket with fur cuffs from The Colbys in Denver episode very memorable.

Fallon has to be the red beaded gown from her intro that she never worn in an episode.

Alexis I think of the gowns with big poofs on the shoulders... The pink beaded gown she wore twice and the red velvet gown from the Black & White Ball come to mind. Also think of robe and nightgown sets trimmed in feathers or fur. The maroon robe with flower poofs all over the shoulders also comes to mind. And of course black and white suits with wide brimmed hats and gloves.

Krystle I think of pastel colored lacey robes and nightgown sets. I cant really think of an iconic Krystle gown that fits the character per se as her gowns differed quite a bit... But one of my favorites is the black beaded gown with multi-colored paisley designs from the season 6 finale-- thought this was not a traditional Krystle look.

Yes! That's also one of my favourites.

This is such an iconic picture:

I believe Alexis wore that dress in the season 2 party/car crash episode?

Yea Alexis did, the crash with Fallon only she wore it with her hair up. And then she wore a silver version of it with feathers on the shoulders in I think season 5?

Alexis, I was actually thinking of this beige suit with the fox tails when I made this post! Were there any other beige suits with big furs worn by Krystle besides this one? This is the one that comes to my mind... Its very simple, but the color is great on Linda, and I love the big over the top fox tail wrap.

Well she wore a lot neutral tones didn't she. I think she also wore like a tan or maybe brown suit with a fur and a hat. She didn't often wear hats either but when I think of Krystle I always think of earthy natural tones. I know she wore many colours but that's what I associate with her.

Funny, I thought it would be very easy to find tons of pictures of iconic Dynasty costumes, but it isn't. I mean, apart from the wedding dresses a masquerade/theme parties.

The fur coats on Paper Dolls are even bigger than on Dynasty, but necessarily more elegant.

That makes sense about white clothing symbolizing money. I would imagine white gloves would get dirty after 1 time wearing them. Alexis wore white gloves often. I remember in a hilarious interview with Graham Norton a glove fetishist called in and Joan teased that she bets he would've loved to get his hands on some of her white Dynasty gloves, as they would get grubby on the fingers and they would throw them out.

I'm amazed that more Dynasty fans don't have costumes and sketches. I think most of the people who have these items are collectors in general (not of Dynasty per se) or people who knew Nolan and were given these items... I seem to be the only person online that ever comes forward with having any of this stuff!

Mike, I love that gown! Too bad it wasnt worn on Dynasty. Some of Linda's most beautiful Nolan gowns were never worn on the show... I saw that interview with Linda. It also showed her white beaded "Peoples Choice" gown, her blue beaded "Peoples Choice" gown, a pink suit, and a dress from the later seasons... I would assume that's all she has, but who knows! Id also be curious if Linda has any costume sketches... Joan recently sold 2 beautiful Nolan Dynasty costume sketches at her auction in December of 2015. I assume that's all she had.

Alexis, this is in fact a Nolan gown. I agree though, it doesn't look like his usual design. Maybe that's part of the allure-- its unique!

He did seem to have a certain look that he stuck to for Krystle for the show. Anything that didn't fit that look didn't make the show. Like the blue dress that was later worn by Monica on The Colbys. It was a gorgeous dress for Linda, but not Krystle apparently.

Alexis, yes that teal beaded gown is a beauty. Linda wore it to shoot a new intro scene walking down the mansion main stairs, but it was never used. Krystle, strangely, had the same intro all 9 seasons. There are pictures of the shoot.

Mike, that sounds fun... Which gown are you referring to though?
