With the 40th anniversary next year isn't it about time we had a gold standard DVD collection?
The extras on the DVD sets are shockingly bad - no real insight into behind the scenes, deleted scenes, out-takes, gag-reels, interviews, writing, cliffhangers etc etc.
For a show that was globally popular, with top 10 ratings throughout the world, surely the DVDs should reflect that.
As a fan of Doctor Who I bought the classic DVDs BECAUSE of the extras - fantastic insights into the show with interviews from cast and crew - and with Dallas I would absolutely love to hear what the cast and crew thought of many aspects of the show.
Alas, many of them are no longer with us, so the chances of it ever happening are beyond possible - but it seems to me they pushed the DVDs out with very little thought about what extra content they could have.
Such a wasted and missed opportunity.
