Oh my, in the first minute she sounds like Amanda Lear!:)

I also like the Altered Images song (I only know their big hit Don't Talk To Me About Love)

Yes, it's very different to the usual sound of Bucks Fizz and one i thought would impress you. If ever I go into a Bucks Fizz phase, ROTG is always there.

You only know one Altered Images track....? We'll have to change at at some point.

Unless it's a very expensive, sought-after single. But I wouldn't mind recording it to my computer and send you the WAV file. Is that OK with you?

(That's a 'No' btw) :byee:

The first Chosen Year Top Ten turned out to be a very bumpy ride.
Feather boa'd divas storming of the set, lots of fraudulent nominations, lawsuits flying left and right...and yet I've managed to compile a fantastic Definitive Top Ten out of all this.

0. Searchin' - Hazell Dean @:D

1. Now - Carpenters @Mel O'Drama
The nomination that was almost cancelled (how very Cagney & Lacey). This was a very beautiful surprise.

2. Waves - Blancmange @Ome
And another hidden gem from 1983. I love the moody-lush-theatrical sound of it.

3. Gimme All Your Lovin' - ZZ Top @Emelee

4. Bring Me Closer - Altered Images @Ome

5. Hey You - The Rocksteady Crew @Richard Channing
I just love these one-hit-wonders (see also, #7).

6. Victims - Culture Club @Barbara Fan
Their best song, I think. Boy George has such a beautiful voice, maybe he's a little bit underrated as a singer (because most people only remember him from "Karma Chameleon", and I'd rather stick pins in my ears than listening to that song again.)

7. Break My Stride - Matthew Wilder @Emelee
(see #5)

8. Rules Of The Game - Bucks Fizz @Ome
Bucks un-Fizzed! Apparently, this song was written by Warren Bacall:)

9. Puttin' On The Ritz - Taco @Ms. Paige

10. She Works Hard For The Money - Donna Summer @Mel O'Drama

8. Fields of Fire – Big Country --- @Ome
9. Gold - Spandau Ballet --- @Mel O'Drama

Better vote on this as well before the time's up. But gosh it's hard as there's so many great hits from 1983. I originally wanted to list 29 songs but then I had to cut it down to ten. So these songs made my list:

1. Billie Jean - Michael Jackson @Barbara Fan
2. Total Eclipse Of The Heart - Bonnie Tyler @Emelee
3. Making Love Out Of Nothing At All - Air Supply @Emelee
4. Beat It – Michael Jackson @Richard Channing
5. Love Isn't Love – Carola @Karin Schill
6. Under Attack – ABBA @Mel O'Drama
7. Lucky Star – Madonna @Karin Schill
8. Girls Just Wanna Have Fun - Cyndi Lauper @Emelee
9. Time After Time, Cyndi Lauper @Toni
10. Read ‘Em And Weep - Barry Manilow @Mel O'Drama

My guess is that @Toni picked 1983.

Just a suggestion here...it would be really great if everyone could post links to each song they list...it makes it so much easier to vote. If I can find the time I would think everyone can?
