GH has fired Genie Francis and (recently) Kin Shriner, blaming their budget woes. Fans were livid. If GH were to even entertain the idea of bringing Tony Geary in after whining "budget budget budget," I think a collection of fans would burn down the studio with him in it.

More to the point, the show has totally moved on from Luke Spencer, and did it quite easily since TG was there so rarely even when he was on contract.
