Episode One: Absolutely Nothing’s changed.


The powerful women of Denver are shocked by the death of Blake Carrington at the marriage of Amanda and Prince Michael of Moldavia.

Krystle, Alexis, Dominique and Sable struggle to come to terms with the news.

Stephen awakens in the middle of the night to find his mother, Alexis, pulling documents from files in Blake’s home office.

Krystle, Blake’s widow, takes an interest in Marcus Stone, a politician who has recently moved to Denver; however, she faces competition with neice Sammy-Jo.

Suspicious that Marcus is spending the night with Sammy-Jo, Krystle enters Sammy-Jo's room apartment with the pretence of offering jewellery.

While inside, a faulty electrical socket, sets fire to the entire apartment.

Krystle flees the scene, leaving behind a coat she tried to use to put out the fire.

Though wracked with guilt, Krystle is relieved to learn that Marcus was not the man with whom Sammy-Jo was sleeping with.

Meanwhile, Dominique, a successful career woman, is frustrated with her daughter Jackie, while her husband Garrett, is constantly away on business.

Sable, feeling unappreciated by her family, is troubled when her husband Jason asks for a divorce. She poisons him by contaminating his food. Whilst in the hospital Jason accuses Sable of being frigid and obsessed with building an empire in he hotel industry.

Elsewhere, Alexis, grows unhappy with her marriage to Dex Dexter, who buys her love with extravagant gifts. She begins and affair with property developer, Jackson Young.

Alexis asks Krystle, Dominique and Sable to attend a dinner party in Blake’s memory. During the meal, she produces a letter and takes great pleasure in reading it out to those present:

I have everything I ever need to ruin your life, Blake Carrington.

Alexis reveals that Blake was in possession of the note the day he died and the women begin to wonder about the secret he intended to keep.

Episode Two: All Kinds Of People.


Blake Carrington thought that he knew everyone, but had he looked further, he would have realised that he was never looking deep beneath the surface. Had he realised this, he would have known that Alexis was unhappy and may have offered to help her. Blake only saw the side of Alexis that most of the others saw: her expensive jewellery, her fabulous designer clothing, and her diamond watch, he’d long forgotten the woman he once loved.

Alexis knew that she was lonely since her husband Dex was constantly away but knew that if she lost him or they separated she would be less happy than she already was. This is perhaps the reason that Jackson Young is her current lover.

As the two relax in the bath, Alexis hears a noise in the apartment. When she calls out, she hears Dex’s voice. Alexis panics and quickly devises a plan to get Jackson out of there.

The two race down the stairs and Alexis throws Jackson into the elevator. Jackson quickly gets dressed inside. Dex is oblivious of what is going on. Dex asks why Alexis took a bath in the afternoon which she explains by saying that she had just worked out.

Krystle, Alexis, Dominique and Sable gather at the mansion the following evening to discuss the mysterious note that was used to blackmail Blake. Krystle thinks that they should share the letter with his children since it could be used as evidence to find the writer. Alexis tells her that if anyone is tell her children anything it will be her. Sable, in a rare show of unity, agrees with her. Dominique thinks it would only make matters worse. The non-residents leave the mansion without having decided what to do and agree to talk about it the next morning.

Meanwhile, Sable tries to save her marriage with Jason by going to couple counselling with Dr. Arnold Cranson supposedly Denver's number 1 therapist. Dr. Cranson has handled cases such as domestic abuse, affairs, and marital disputes but has never met anyone like the Colby’s.

At their first few sessions, Jason manages to get his complaints about the marriage out in the open but when it's time for Sable to talk she rambles on with small talk. Dr. Cranson tells her to think about herself and Jason sometimes other than always obsessing about work. As Dr. Cranson gives Sable these suggestions, Sable focuses on a painting that is hanging on his wall.

Later, Sable returns privately to Dr. Cranson where she offers to buy his painting. The two talk about how Jason always exaggerates and that the marriage is not entirely her fault. Dr. Cranson agrees but he believes that the blame be put on both parties.

At their next session, Jason talks once again and Dr. Cranson manages to remind him that he should be thankful that Sable does all the nice things that she does. Jason cant retaliate and Sable smiles at Dr. Cranson.

Krystle decides to make her move on Marcus by inviting him to dinner at the mansion. Marcus accepts her offer but tells her that she must come to him and bring Krystina also. As they talk, they are interrupted by Sammy-Jo who asks what is going on. Marcus tells Sammy-Jo that he’s invited Krystle to dinner at his place and Sammy-Jo invites herself along also. The dinner goes well but Krystle realises that Marcus still has feelings for his dead wife, when he talks about the house they once shared and that he will not be available for a while. Krystle hugs him as she leaves his apartment.

With Garrett away once again, Dominique argues with Jackie, whilst in the car. Dominique has tried to reason with her without results.

Sammy-Jo moves into the mansion after the fire at her apartment. The coat which Krystle was wearing on the night she accidentally caused the fire is also returned to the mansion and Krystle manages to hide it.

After being almost caught by Dex, Alexis decides that she and Jackson cannot have sex in the apartment anymore. When Alexis shows up unexpectedly at Jackson's apartment, he hands her flowers. Alexis treasures the gift and Jackson says that he wants to make sure that their relationship lasts for a long time. Alexis feels differently about her relationship with Jackson, seeing that it can only be an affair and will not go any further. When Jackson sees that Dex has purchased Alexis a new car, he learns that Alexis is still in love with Dex and that he will have to share her.

During the middle of the night, Adam collects a briefcase bearing the initials BC, as he looks through the contents, he finds what is believed to be some interesting paperwork.

Episode Three: Back Where You Started

Krystle, Alexis, Dominique and Sable are all reading the Denver Chronicle. Krystle scans the front page and sees something.

Mrs Gunnerson walks in and asks Krystle if the family dinner is to be cancelled under the circumstances.

There is a flashback, Krystle and Dominique are sitting with Blake. He tells them that there should be a dinner party when they return from Moldavia for the whole family. Krystle and Dominique agree and Blake seems pleased.

When the time returns to the present, Krystle tells Mrs Gunnerson that they’re to have the dinner party anyway, as a way to honour Blake.

Krystle contacts Sable and she suggests holding the party in neutral territory, so La Mirage is the agreed location. Krystle is disappointed that she will be the only one there without a partner. However, she changes her mind later upon seeing Marcus, who agrees to go with her to dinner. They both end up having a good evening, despite the tension caused by Sable.

As Sable and Jason's marital problems continue to surface, Sable tries to cover up the fact that she and Jason are in counselling since she does not want to be seen as weak or to be mocked for her "failed" marriage. When Jason asks what their cover story is, Sable replies that they will be taking tennis lessons and hands him a racket, which they will both use as decoys before and after the sessions.

Sable's plans quickly backfire, as Jason tells everyone at the dinner party that he and Sable are in marriage counselling. Suddenly, Sable drops a plate but quickly changes her tone as dinner is about to be served.

The following day, as Sable is about to throw Jason out, he tells her that he’s checking into La Mirage permanently. They discuss how they are going to tell the children about their separation, Sable jokes that she can say that he "went to tennis camp" which Jason does not find in the least funny.

Later, Sable visits Dr Cranson's office in the hopes that she can talk to him about what happened the evening prior. Dr. Cranson tells Sable he is in between clients and that she will have to wait until tomorrow's appointment. As Dr. Cranson walks into the hallway, Sable snoops around and find Jason's tape from his private session. Instead of taking it, she suspiciously comes across a tape labelled "Carrington, Blake". Sable decides to take the tape for herself to see if it can shed any light on Blake's death.

During the awkward dinner, Krystle, Alexis and Dominque share stories of embarrassing moments shared with Blake. Sable ends the conversation by telling everyone that Jason is impotent, at which point he gets up and leaves, everyone awkwardly finishes their dinner.

Dominique is happy that Garrett has finally returned home from work but becomes angered over a photo taken a few months prior. When Dominique asks Garrett if he would come to the dinner party with her, he informs her that he is tired and would rather skip it. Dominique, upset at his decision attends the dinner party alone. The following day, Garrett makes it up to her by taking her to a Mexican Restaurant for dinner.

When Dex tells Alexis that she needs to relax, she calls up Jackson to invite him to come over and "help her" feel better. Jackson arrives but their kissing is interrupted however when Stephen arrives. Alexis pleads with him not to tell Dex and he agrees.

Stephen and Adam argue of Adam’s absence at Blake’s funeral,

That evening, Stephen finds a gun in Blake’s office, he is still sitting with it when Adam appears. They both wonder why Blake would keep a loaded gun in the mansion when Sable interrupts them asking if they’ll attend the dinner party for Blake at La Mirage. Adam tells her that they’ve made plans and Stephen thanks her for remembering his father.

The following day, while Stephen is asleep, Adam contacts Alexis about replacing Stephen as vice-president at ColbyCo. Unknown to him, Stephen overhears the conversation. Adam explains that he is also selling his apartment.

Episode Four: Bold And Reckless

Dominique is informed by her housekeeper that drugs have been found in Jackie’s room.

When Krystle sees that Sammy-Jo is trying to flirt with Marcus, she interrupts them, telling Sammy-Jo that Kristina wants to see her to discuss beauty tips.

Krystle and Kristina play tennis, Marcus interrupts the game to invite Krystle to the theatre. Sammy-Jo walks onto the court, Krystle suggests that Marcus take Sammy-Jo to the show since she is busy. Sammy-Jo happily agrees and at that moment Kristina walks up behind, causing Krystle to regret what she just said.

Since Jason and Sable separated, the children have become even more curious about his whereabouts, since Sable has not told them about the separation. Sable is finding it increasingly difficult to relate to her son Miles since he is angry over the fact that "she has sent his father away". When Miles goes out again and decides not to tell Sable, she forces Monica to call him. Sable searches through Miles' office for anything suspicious. In a wooden box, she finds a matchbook which has the address and number of a local strip club.

Alexis has a relaxing bath with Jackson but it ends when she receives a phone call to attend an urgent meeting at ColbyCo. This causes Jackson to hurry and he leaves a piece of evidence, his watch, on the bedside table. Later, Dex finds it and he asks Alexis where it came from and she manages to lie by telling him it belongs to the Adam. To make sure Alexis isn't lying, he asks Adam, who confirms her story.

As all of this is going on, Adam finds Blake’s blackmail note. He explains to both Dominique and Alexis that Blake was hiding the fact that he was becoming very ill and that he probably wrote the note himself. Alexis and Dominique don't believe it and think something else was going on. Adam then gives the note to a detective, Andrew Morris, who says that he may be able to help him.

Episode Five: Confidential

The mansion, Alexis’ apartment and La Mirage are all broken in to. Nothing seems to have been taken, but something definitely searched for.

Krystle dates the Detective who leads the investigation into the break in at the mansion, she believes Marcus is losing interest in her.

Samuel Dexter arrives in Denver to stay for a few weeks. Dex has asked him to find out as much as he can about Alexis’ possible affair.

Dominique visits private schools with Jackie, in the hopes of getting her to enrol to further her education.

Sable invites Stephen to dinner at La Mirage where they discuss the deaths of both their fathers.

Episode Six: Darlin’ You Know I Love You

Dominique auditions a new singer to perform at La Mirage, Barbara Berrymore. She soon discovers that Barbara sings cover songs in her own unique way, despite Dominique’s advice. Dominique supplies Barbara with the name of costume maker she uses and Barbara sets out her demands for perfection. Dominique appears to admire this quality in Barbara.

During another session with Dr. Cranson, Jason explains that the physical side of his marriage to Sable has fizzled out, Sable is horrified that he has shared this information with Dr. Cranson so decides to embarrass Jason, by telling him what Jason used to like in the bedroom.

Some time later Sable arrives at Jason’s apartment and they become passionate, it soon becomes clear that Sable isn’t finding any enjoyment from Jason’s attention and he asks her to leave.

Alexis begins to of Sam Dexter following her around. Sam cleans the men out of their money while playing poker and Dex admits to Alexis that his father has a gambling addiction. Alexis uses one of these nights to her advantage when she visits Jackson at a motel, she begins to understand that he is losing interest in her. After a huge loss, Alexis turns this to her advantage, telling Sam that she will cover the loss and keep it from Dex. Sam begins to believe that Alexis can’t be cheating on Dex until he reveals to Sam that Alexis knows all about his addiction. He decides to delve deeper in Alexis’ activities.

Krytle and Krystina discover that Stephen is receiving counselling to cope with the death of his father. Krystina asks him if he knows who may have been blackmailing Blake. Kyrstina relays their conversation to Krystle when they meet at the mansion later. Krystle searches Blake’s office and finds further letters demanding money.

Episode Seven: Don’t Leave Me This Way

Dominique throws a dinner party for Garrett’s work colleagues.

Miles meets with Sable and Jason and explains that he’s in trouble with his work. They don’t make things any better when they announce that they’re to divorce.

Krystle and Marcus are having dinner when it’s interrupted by his friend Chad. Chad asks Marcus how he is doing with the plan. Krystle becomes suspicious but Marcus tells her that he’s an old party supporter who needs some help with a new campaign.

Alexis sees Jackson having a meal with a lady at La Mirage and becomes selfish. She orders the head waiter to move them from their table and seat them near the kitchen, behind a barrier. Alexis then invites Jackson to her apartment for sex.

Jason begins to shower Miles and Monica with gifts and Sable is unhappy, telling her children to return them or they will not be given their allowance by Sable. Monica agrees but Miles drives away in his car.

After being rejected by Jason, who tells Miles that he doesn’t want to see him, Miles is speeding in his car, drunk and runs down Sam Dexter, who was spying on Alexis and knew she’d been with Jackson.
