I certainly cannot claim to be a film buff. Another one I have not seen a single film with. I have Grand Hotel on dvd (Garbo fan as I am), but I haven't seen it yet. So I'm out this round too.

I've almost always been a Joan Crawford fan. I find her terribly fascinating to read and discuss, and I typically find her performances well-deserving and under-appreciated.

Here are my TOP FOUR favorite of her pictures:

Mildred Pierce
Possessed
What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?
Autumn Leaves

The rest in no particular order:

Dancing Lady
Humoresque
Grand Hotel
Love on the Run
Torch Song
Johnny Guitar
A Woman's Face

I'm rather partial to middle-period Joan (1945-1952); she was still beautiful but flintier.

  2. Flamingo Road
  3. The Women
  4. Harriet Craig
  5. Mildred Pierce
  6. What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?
  7. Sudden Fear
  8. Humoresque
  9. Possessed (1947)

Okay up next is...
Stellan_Skarsgaard.jpg

Stellan Skarsgård is a Swedish actor. He was born on June 13th , 1951 in Göteborg in Sweden. His interest for acting started with a children’s theatre group. He then went on to work with theatre, TV-series and movies. His first break through was in the TV-series “Bombi Bitt och Jag” (1968). His breakthrough in the movies came with “Den enfaldige mördaren” (1982). But to the international audience he is probably best known for his role in “Mamma Mia!” (2008).

All together Skarsgård has made approximately 100 movies so far. But which one is your favorite?

Totals: In September.

Stellan Skarsgård is a really good guy. I've listened to him talk about his opinions and he's got very good ideals. He's well educated and very humane. Extra credit for the role choices he makes - it's not money that matters, it's interest for what's different, fun or passion by others. He's taken roles where he only has made 100 Dollars.
