The reporting officer worried she might kill someone. A second police officer pulled Evans over and arrested her after she failed a sobriety test

A police report obtained by Radar Online said Evans's driving was 'erratic, with significant lane travel within the lane, slow and varying speeds, and sudden jerking corrections.'

The reporting officer, who noticed she was not wearing a seatbelt, wrote: 'I was afraid the vehicle was going to kill someone.'

The arresting officer asked her to do a standard sobriety test.

When asked for her driving license, she presented him with a credit card.

He stated: 'Here's my concern, OK, I understand that you're injured, but because you've taken some medications, I want to make sure those medications aren't impairing you like alcohol.'

Video shows him conducting the sobriety test, moving his finger left and right in front of her face. She says: 'We do that in yoga.' He later asks her to recite the alphabet

Evans was on her way to a doctor's appointment near her Washington State home, the property of which is pictured. Throughout the video, Evans says she has back pain

The arresting officer said he would handcuff her hands in front due to her back pain. After six minutes or so of speaking with her, the officer arrested Evans

Video shows him moving his finger left and right in front of her face. She says: 'We do that in yoga.'

The officer asks, 'What's that?'

She responds: 'Looking.'

She references her back pain throughout the video and when asked to take a half-step from her car she states: 'I did yoga last night.'

After about six minutes of speaking with her, the officer arrests her.

He states: 'Because of your back injury, I am going to handcuff you in the front. I am going to put you in my car.

'Actually, I'll probably put you in my car and then handcuff you. That way you can get in.'

He proceeds to warn her that his car is not very comfortable.

Evans, pictured in the police car, was sentenced to a suspended year of jail time, had her license suspended for a month and was on probation until 2016 after she was found to have been driving under the influence. The arrest is only being made public now

Evans's arresting officer found 29 pink pills in a bag in her car. Officers believed the pills were generic Flexeril or cyclobenzaprine. Evans said she was on medication for her back pain

While she is waiting in his vehicle, he states: 'I believe based on my training and experience that she is under the influence of drugs.'

The officer then found 29 pink pills, believed to be generic Flexeril or cyclobenzaprine, which Evans said she was taking for her back pain.

She later admitted that she had taken seven pills that morning including Advil.

She was on her way to a doctor's appointment.

Evans was sentenced to a year of suspended jail time and was on probation until 2016. Her license was suspended for a month.

Linda Evans portrayed Krystle Carrington on ABC soap opera Dynasty from 1981 to 1989.

She shot to fame as Krystle, whose on-screen cat fights with her bitter rival Alexis, played by Joan Collins, became notorious.

She has spoken about her severe back pain before. That she was in so much pain she thought she would die.

Yeah, I remember her saying that. Poor thing. :( Though it seemed like she isn't bothered by it anymore... or at least that's my impression. I don't keep up with her personal life. Or her professional one, really. X)

I think she had surgery about a year or so ago and things improved.

The woman was in chronic and horrible pain from a slipped disc in her back. She alluded to considering death over dealing with this pain for the rest of her life- it was that severe. She was obviously on pain killers or muscle relaxers. Its understandable! Though she shouldn't have been driving. But luckily she had surgery last year that seems to have really helped her a lot. Pretty sleazy to be publicizing this. I see no reason to shame her.

It is a tacky article and people who see the headline would just think it was drink driving. Not many know about the back problems she had, and other health problems too. Poor Gordon Thompson also suffers from very bad back paint too.

Now I almost feel guilty for suggesting on the old forum that Krystle should have developed some kind of addiction (drugs or alcohol), because she started to suffer from back pain (caused by the horse accident, you know, instead of that old-classic head/brain damage).

As long as she drives sober, there's no problem! Damn, what would Ramtha and Alexis say about this?!?!!

I think her back problems started much later.

'Dynasty' star Linda Evans breaks silence on shocking footage of DUI arrest

Gibson Johns, AOL.com
Mar 28th 2017

https://www.aol.com/article/enterta...evans-breaks-silence-on-dui-footage/22015136/

"Dynasty" actress Linda Evans is breaking her silence on the shocking dash cam footage that went viral of her 2014 DUI arrest.

The police report of the May 2014 incident alleged that Evans, then 71, had been driving erratically on her way to a doctor's appointment in Washington state and the arresting officer had her take a field sobriety test that she failed.

Looking back on the moment, the now-74-year-old, who became a household name when she played Krystle Carrington on "Dynasty," told People that she was "surprised" by what she saw in the leaked clip.

"When I saw the footage, I was surprised because I don't remember myself that way," she explained. "That's not the way I perceive myself. To see it, it was disturbing. I saw the pain in my eyes. It just took me right back to the moment."

Still, Evans contended that the incident was the result of taking "unknown pills" that morning to treat a dislocated disc in her back. The actress said she has chronic back pain that has now been healed.

The actress admitted that she "should have stayed home" that day because she was "so weak from back pain." Regardless, it was a "pivotal" moment for her and opened her eyes to her own behavior.

Not only that, but the coverage of the leaked footage earlier this month was also another important reminder of where she once was.

"When I saw the brutal coverage in the pop news story, it actually showed me how far I've come," she explained to People. "It's easy to love ourselves when we look beautiful and feel perfect. But when we feel vulnerable to our own criticism, and other people's criticism, these moments define us. This opportunity helped me learn to stand by myself, in my journey of recovery. And now I feel liberated from my own critical mind. Life can be messy, and a little compassion for ourselves is what self-love is about."

Evans has since left Hollywood behind her and, though she has fond memories of her time on the ABC hit ("What a ride 'Dynasty' was!"), she says she's happy with her quieter life.

"I don't miss it at all," she said.
