As long as they are convincing in the part, does that really matter? That reminds me of Cameron Moore, who recently left Hollyoaks when eight times killer Cameron Campbell (father of Peri, husband of Leela and brother-in-law of Tegan) was finally found out, run over and imprisoned last month. Moore (from Gloucestershire) fibbed at the audition and faked his accent for the Scottish Cameron Campbell, only coming clean to the production team after he got the part. Although in his case, Cameron Moore's parents are Scottish and he based his character's accent on theirs. As his character exited last month, Moore joked in a goodbye video, "I'll see you in another 14 years. Terrible Scottish accent, how did I ever get away with it?"wish they'd left the pedo stuff alone. Why did the American boy have to show up? And he is another Brit pretending to be American for the role ala Vicky?
I had no idea the actor was British. I don't really care where he's from so long as he's convincing on screen.why do they keep casting brits to play Americans?
the actress did a great job but it was kind of a thankless role. They did this with Vicky who, OK was not born an American, but lived there all her life. Her US accent only lasted a few weeks.
