She never wore that on the show but it looks like one of the big dresses she wore that was definitely by Nolan Miller. I think she worse something like that in grey or silver with roses on it.

I wonder would some of Miller's stuff be held in studio costume houses? Things like suits and separates, skirts, jackets, blouses could have been used in films and TV shows and not been as recognisable as those DYNASTY gowns. I know some stuff from DYNASTY made it's way on to HOTEL and THE LOVE BOAT.

I was just watching the scene from season 1 where Krystle is being shown some designs for outfits by a designer and this is the first drawing. Clearly it's a Nolan Miller drawing and it's the beautiful fur trimmed cape (if you could call it that?) that Dominique wears at least 4 seasons later.

Yes, I'm not sure it was ever going to be a Krystle outfit, I think they just needed some drawings to show her so Nolan gave them some he'd been working on. It seemed like there was some kind of directive that Krystle be symmetrical at all times.

* in 1981 the sketch was seen on "Dynasty"
* later a sketch with this dress was made for Alexis

* later Dominique made it famous
* last year they copied this look for "Tamron Hall Show" special ...
