Nice that she took the trouble to answer the question of one of her followers.

Very complimentary of Sarah! She obviously didn't do anything or say anything to annoy 'you know who', intentionally or not.

Sarah Douglas is being interviewed about her time on FALCON CREST, ('behind the scenes' from season 3 and 4, 1983 - '85):

"I thoroughly enjoyed playing Pamela although I felt they (the producers) lost their direction with me, a little by my second season. They just didn't know what to do with Pamela Lynch, after it was established the audience didn't like the plot line with the cartel."

Who is the "who"?

Jane Wyman, god rest her soul! Babe as she was affectionately known, in Hollywood.

Pamela and Richard are in his vineyard. Richard talks about Chase and how he is a very good family man, (a scene from season 3, 1983 - '84):

Pamela: "You really are a sensitive person. I wish you'd show it more often Richard."

Richard: "I'm not sure I know how."

Pamela: "The most important thing is that I know."

Richard: "You do?"

Considering Pamela Lynch replaced Diana Hunter she filled the role of Richard's assistant in a functional but not as glamorous way. Hey FC's Pam had a high standard to better, considering her predecessor was played by Shannon Tweed. Although I thought Miss Lynch (as Richard called her) was good for Dicky. He never appreciated her the see saw man that he was, the way she did him.

Awww.... I think Diana Hunter was just blonder. Not more glamorous -- or "prettier" as even Melissa asserted so rudely.

Not that I minded Shannon, mind you. She and her porn-damaged tonsils delivery.

An assistant is called assistant for a reason, and maybe they gave her too much screentime just because she was played by Sarah Douglas.

Call it whatever way you like but I enjoyed Sarah Douglas, more than Shannon Tweed who was basically a play boy model in an on going show. Their only similarities was the cartel and at least Pamela showed some real affection for Richard, unlike Diana.

I liked them both but I loved Diana. She was just so icy!

The impression I had, almost right from the start, was that Pamela was going to be more menacing and conniving. Somehow it didn't turn out that way, maybe there were too many villainous characters at that time.
Even Phillip was double-crossing Angela, although that storyline didn't go anywhere.

Diana was a dangerous babe, a sexy robot, who took orders from the Number 1 (or whoever was in charge), but she seemed a bit out of place in her scenes in the vineyards, wearing a regular Betty Co-Ed outfit.
Diana looks better in catsuits, or maybe one of those space-y things that Ciji wore in Knots (ironically, it was Pamela who appeared as Pamela in the sci-fi hit "V", opposing Captain Diana)

I kinda liked her as an out of place sexy robot wearing a regular Betty Co-Ed outfit in the vineyards.

"Oh Miss Hunter what have you got me into?" didn't Richard say that or something similar, with reference to Norton Crane? I liked Shannon in the show, particularly when she had Richard under lock and key at the end of season two.

Ms. Hunter looked like a sort of dominatrix in a suit with that husky voice and impeccable look. I´m sure Gene Simmons from KISS fell in love with her while watching her on FC... (he also reportedly had a thing for Charlene Tilton no less...)

The lady still shows off cleavage and smile!
Asking for a FC reboot?

Shannon Tweed on FALCON CREST was much better than Traci Lords on MELROSE PLACE. I love how seemingly aloof Diana was, because the show wasn't great when it came to subtext. She seemed to fit right in with Richard's seeming ambiguities.

I loved Pamela Lynch! A shame Douglas got fired over (allegedly) some comments she made about some fellow very minor co-star.
