The nominations for the 46th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards have been announced. The actual ceremonies will be held in Pasadena on May 5, 2019 (the Creative Arts "technical" Emmys will be handed out on the Friday prior).

There are always a few glaring omissions, and a few nominees that make us scratch our heads. I also question whether some of the actors are in the appropriate category. I just hope they can manage to hand out the trophies without any major scandals like we seem to have virtually every year.

I confess to be a bit of a GH-leaning fan, but I would be so, so thrilled if Beth Maitland (Traci on Y&R) would win Supporting Actress. Her work in the recent Abbott family storyline was excellent.

Beth Maitland is excellent. I would give Emmys to Maura West and Garren Stitt without hesitation.

Isn't this Watson's second Emmy in a row? She seems like an odd choice to me, given Stella's limited role on GH.

Watson won the "Guest" category last time, and since you can't compete in that category twice, she moved up to Supporting. She and Max Gail likely helped one another win, since they had so much screen time together.
