Hurray! Another forum member who wants to show some love:roll:

Today I asked myself the question: who was the best, the Three Degrees, Sister Sledge, Pointer Sisters or First Choice?
But I never got the answer.

This is quite a difficult question @Willie Oleson and it is also what's your personal music taste is of these four groups, I myself do not know the group "First Choice" as well as the other three groups, only the song "Doctor Love". When it come to "Sister Sledge i'm not really a fan of this group apart from their famous hits, so I find "The Three Degrees" much better, both their well-known songs as their unknown songs, so I personally go for my most favorite of these four groups the "Pointer Sisters", because of this group I have almost all their studio albums on CD, and I think their music genre is a better mix of Disco, Soul, R&B, Pop/Rock, and Dance, and I think the Pointer Sisters also made the most hits of all these four groups.

So when it comes to you question, i think the "Pointer Sisters" where the best of these four groups, but that is also based on my personal opinion. ;)

There's a video on YouTube of The Three Degrees singing "When Will I See You Again." I was struck by it being just three lovely ladies sitting in chairs singing a beautiful song into microphones and so entertaining. There were no gimmicks, no politics, profanity, innuendo or stunts. Just talent. Simply wonderful.

Ooh, that's hard. But this might be the best song:

There were no gimmicks, no politics, profanity, innuendo or stunts.

Although their self-titled album did have a very memorable gatefold sleeve:

But then there's also this
which I think is a better disco stomper.
Well, it's definitely stompier. I think 'Thinking of You' is more slinky than stompy.

They've done a coverversion of "Automatic" but most (if not all) of their hits were written by Fluitsma & van Tijn, the songwriters of "Dance Around The World" by Richenel (who passed away two days ago).

Okay thanks, i never knew they coverd "Automatic". i believe Fluitsma & van Tijn has also written many songs for the Dolly Dots.

I think that's the one that Jessie has posted in her list.
We'll start a new Artist Top Ten tomorrow, so if you want you can still post your favourite 10 T3D songs, Jimmy.

I only know one, which I love.
I have tons of favorite Donna Summer songs if that list comes up

I will listen to the 3Degrees songs posted here:)
