1. I Know There's Something Going On (Frida) - the kick-ass prequel to Knowing Me, Knowing You with Shaka Zulu-esque drum beats.
2. Comfort Me (Frida) - a breathtakingly haunting Cassandra In Space (not to be confused with Caress In Space)
3. Once Burned, Twice Shy (Agnetha & Smokie) - exellent pop song, not sure if I had heard it before.
4. Threnody (Frida) - country meets synth-pop meets early-Enya
5. The Heat Is On (Agnetha) - most notable for the playful vocals with a dash of Kate Bush.
6. Strangers (Frida) - a curiously trippy song, very hypnotizing in a vintage kind of way.
7. Little White Lies (Agnetha)
8. Wrap Your Arms Around Me (Agnetha)
9. Dance Your Pain Away (Agnetha)
10. When You Walk Into The Room (Agnetha) - only the Almighty remix, thank you.

While both singers are equally gifted I think Frida's voice has the most typical "ABBA" sound (but I'm sure not everybody is going to agree with that).

HERE WE GO AGAIN... MY MY... Well i gues there will be always a ABBA camp between Agnetha and Frida ;), but when i think of ABBA i always think of four people how are making music not one or two people, but to be honest only the singing voice of Agnetha appeals to me much more than that of Frida, but to me they are both ABBA women, not just one but just two beautiful singers how can sing and make the ABBA sound together, because without Agnetha it wouldn't be a ABBA sound to me, and without Benny and Bjorn, we woudn't have those amazing ABBA songs. :)

I love both Agnetha and Frida. However only one of them have had a Swedish teen magazine named after her...;)

Frida-1983-28-291-234x300.jpg

Also when I was a teenager in the 90s and my sister and I would practise our "Dancing Queen" routine of course I got to be Frida since I'm the brunette and my sister is the blonde.

Having said all that though I love both ladies. I have 4 of Frida's solo albums and 7 of Agnetha's. So I will do a top ten for each lady. :ribbon:

Agnetha:

1. When You Really Loved Someone
2. I Keep Them On The Floor Beside My Bed
3. I Wasn't The One (duet with Peter Cetera)
4. Never Again (duet with Tomas Ledin)
5. If I Ever Thought You'd Change Your Mind
6. Stand By My Side
7. Dance Your Pain Away
8. I Won't Let You Go
9. I Should Have Followed You Home (duet with Gary Barlow)
10. När du tar mig i din famn

I realize this list is dominated by her latest A album. I guess it's because it was such an unexpected gift to get new music from Agnetha after all these years and I just love it. :danc:

Anni-Frid:

1. Hon Fick Som Hon Ville
2. Here We'll Stay (duet Phil Collins)
3. Saltwater
4. Sista valsen med dig
5. One Little Lie
6. Tell Me it's Over
7. Vem kommer såra vem ikväll?
8. Slowly
9. Även en Blomma
10. Älska Mig Alltid

I realize I have a lot of songs on my Frida list from her "Djupa Andetag" album. The reason for it is because it was one of the first ABBA related album that I owned. It came out about a year after I had discovered ABBA as a group. :spinning:

Be afraid of the bitchy fanboys, they do revenge and smear campaign videos on youtube

I don't have a strong opinion on the matter, it's just something I noticed when I listened to all these solo recordings.
Btw, does anyone know what the Golden Smurf Award represents?

Looks like it was given out by a German magazine called Pop/Rocky. They came in Gold, Silver, Bronze or Black and were awarded for TV/film as well as music. Madonna evidently got Smurfs in more than one category in '85:

A number of recipients can be seen here.

Even Jeff Colby has one (there's more information about the award itself via this link).

Me too, i like both lady's on ABBA, there are no competitors in my view, they are both equally good in their own way, only as a solo artist i like Agnetha's music more, i don;t have any cd from Frida.

Haha that must have been fun, i remember I once performed as ABBA when I was 10 years old with 3 other children from my residential area when we had a neirbourhood barbeque, we also did "Dancing Queen", and we became second place, I wanted so much to be Agnetha, but yes I had to be Bjorn with a guitar and more on the background. :D:p

The album "A" from Agnetha is very good, i have it on my Iphone, i played i very often when i go out for a walk.

But i love your top 10 from both singers.

To be honest i don't even know what a fanboy is, dedicated hard-core fans?, well in that case i don't consider myself as a fanboy then, i do love the music of ABBA but I am not busy on it for 24 hours, my music taste is too wide and varied. :D

Since ABBA is the most famous Swedish music expert, I thought the next logical step is to do a Top 10 for the man who has been referred to as "The King of Swedish Pop" before Max Martin. A man who has worked with so many Swedish pop stars that it's ridiculous, including Agnetha Fältskog. It's Ola "Oson" Håkansson. This Top 10 is for his 2 own bands:

Secret Service vs Ola and the Janglers

Ola and the Janglers was a rock/pop band formed in 1962 with Ola Håkansson and Claes af Geijerstam etc. They had several songs on the popular "10 i Topp" list in Sweden.

Secret Service was a pop band formed in 1979 with Ola Håkansson, Tim Norell and Ulf Wahlberg. The band had bigger success in Germany, France, Japan and the Sovjet Union than in Sweden.

2. Oh Susie - SS
3. What I Heard Today - O&TJ
4. Give Me Your Love - SS
5. L.A. Goodbye - SS
6. Donna Donna - O&TJ (I don't care for all the other coverversions, but this sounds interesting)
7. Crossing A River - SS
8. Jo-Anne, Jo-Anne - SS
9. Let Us Dance Just A Little Bit More -SS
10. I'm So, I'm So, I'm So (I'm So In Love With You) - SS

No vote for their biggest hit Flash In The Night because I like the coverversion much better.

As we are in the middle of a move to a new platform, I am prolonging this round. Last day for voting is now after the move is completed. SoapChat Top 10 will end with Secret Service vs Ola & The Janglers. What artist Telly Addicts Top 10 will begin with is a secret.
