Voilà my choices. The one-decade division is a bit of trouble for moi...

1- Emma (2009)
2- Terry Pratchett´s The Colour of Magic (2008)
3- Terry Pratchett´s Hogfather (2006)
4- The Line of Beauty (2006)

01.The Line of Beauty (2006)
02.Little Dorrit (2008; only the UK broadcasted 12 half-hour episodes, around the world it were 6 hour long episodes but the criteria is it's UK produced not broadcasted ;))
03.Tess of the D'Urbervilles (2008)
04.Doctor Zhivago (2002)

I'm really struggling with this one because most of the mini series that I liked from this era seemed to cash in on its popularity by being commissioned for a second season. I was hoping that I would get some ideas from the lists of other forum members but I've not seen any of the series that they have chosen.

We will continue the miniseries bonanza. Since more series are being produced, we're dividing the latest 21 years into 2 rounds. Now up:

UK Miniseries from 2010-2021

For a series to count, it must fulfil all 5 criteria:
  • A fictional TV-series that aired somewhere between 2010-2021
  • UK produced, at least mainly (either mainly British actors or produced by Brits)
  • Maximum 8 episodes... *
  • ...and only 1 season (it needs have a clear beginning, middle & END)
  • No anthology series (like American Horror Story or The Haunting of Hill House/Bly Manor). We will do them another time.

*I've been googling miniseries to determine where to put the limit. "Limited series last longer, usually between 6-12 episodes, while a miniseries is typically 4-6 episodes". I could have gone with maximum 6 episodes, but I decided that I should be slightly more generous and allow 8.

Keep in mind the criteria of maximum 8 episodes/1 season, and that Wikipedia may have missed some;
British miniseries of the 10s: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:2010s_British_television_miniseries
British miniseries of the 20s: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:2020s_British_television_miniseries

Rank your 10 favorites between 1-10 where 1 is your absolute favorite.
I will tally up the scores when the deadline has passed.

Last day of adding your Top 10 is: Friday January 22

How could I have forgotten The Stranger?
It's easily done, I could have easily listed another ten and still probably forget a few shows

I'm taking advantage of this extended offer and re-entering my revised top ten.
I'm going to do the same because I realised I forgot another of my favourite series I May Destroy You and I too am going to add It's a Sin to my list. I also realised that Normal People was an Irish series so I have to remove it from my original list.

My new and final Top 10:
  1. Chernobyl
  2. I May Destroy You
  3. It's A Sin
  4. The Lost Honour of Christopher Jefferies
  5. A Very English Scandal
  6. The Stranger
  7. Bodyguard
  8. Glue
  9. The Night Manager
  10. Des

I don't feel like going back and count all votes from so long ago, so let's just do a clean re-start.

Next up:

10 series that aired new episodes in 2022.

Criteria:
- Any country of origin
- Any genre
- The series can have aired their first episodes any year, just bother when it aired latest.
- The series has to have aired newly produced episodes by the original channel/streaming service in 2022, ie: if the show originally airs in the US by ABC, then it's the year the latest episode aired on ABC that counts. Not if the series ended on ABC in 2021 and a French channel aired the series in 2022.

You have until October 7th to add your top list.
