The youngest of the Big Four (and the only half-hour soap on daytime in the US), B&B manages to be fabulously popular overseas and usually the #2 soap on daytime. This is a thread created for its fans to discuss the latest shenanigans of that bed-hopping Brooke Logan and her circle of frenemies.

I watched this show religiously for years--never missed an episode--but once Stephanie was gone, I found it very easy to taper off until I gave it up completely...

Brad Bell might be the heir to a great soap dynasty, but he is clueless when it comes to long-term storytelling. He can only write triangles (with Brooke), miscarriages one right after the other, or marriages that are always invalid because A) someone forgot to sign their name to the marriage license; or B) someone forgot to check and make sure their previous spouse was actually dead.

I agree. There is something seriously missing from this once addictive daytime soap. I tried to re-visit the Forrester family but found the dialogue repetitive. Same characters, different settings, re-hashing the same conversation they had the week before. The story no longer moves forward. No one appears to really work anymore except wander the corridors of Forrester Creations. Katherine Kelly Lang looks bored with the show that made her famous. I'm sure Brad Bell keeps her on the payroll just to keep those old viewers coming back. Brooke was always fascinating to watch when she was bouncing off Stephanie and Taylor. Brooke's pairing with Bill Spencer lacks spark. The actor Don Diamont portraying Bill Spencer is laughable at best. This guy would be the first out the door in a pub/bar brawl.

I hear the name Bill Spencer on B&B and I think of this guy. I wish Diamont's character had been given a different first name.

2017 I think (unless it is 2016)
B&B has been an amazingly consistent show. While the storytelling pace can be insanely fast (sometimes a single story will take over two weeks of shows) or completely haphazard (same front and central characters from two weeks ago may then be back-burned for months), one can tune in decades apart and see the basic ingredients still there: strife in the Forrester family, intrigue at Spencer publications, and goofy comedy at Spectra Fashions. Even the other core family, the Logans, is still around with Brooke always front and center and Katie entangled in so many other plots.

I know! Love it! She's evil. (But supposed to be dead)! LOL! I really like the Thomas and Sally story. Something positive.

I read about Sheila's return in an article on tvline. Apparently they were really, really determined to keep this return a secret/surprise, even going so far as shutting down all closed-circuit feeds from the studio while KB was filming her scenes. She was smuggled into the studio in disguise for weeks!

I love the nuttiness factor of such stories, but boy, they've got a lot of explaining to do, what with Sheila looking like Phyllis at one point, those twins they wrote for her, and that whole thing with a fake Lauren (?) that I never quite understood. The article hints that they will simply ignore some of that stuff...which I can understand, but will they be able to keep her being not-quite-dead a secret from Lauren and Scott over at Y&R?

So good to see Sheila back. She's still scary and Kimberlin Brown still has it.

The story of how they kept this secret is so fun!

Looks like all the crap Y&R did with the character is being dismissed as 'rumors'/untrue. Good. There's no explaining that excrement!

Susan Flannery joined the gang for the goodbye party for B&B's stage manager Laura Yale who retired after 31 years on the show.

If only she was still on the show..... One can dream, afterall. :D

Jacqueline McInnes Wood is a mom. She gave birth Monday March 4 to a son, Rise Harlen
I hope the baby takes the father's last name. Any kid with the name "Rise Wood" might as well start his career in porn as soon as possible.

The kid has gotten daddy's surname. Rise Harlen Ruspoli is the full name.
