Buckingham Palace has wished the Duke of York a happy 60th birthday after it was confirmed bells will ring at Westminster Abbey to mark the occasion.

The Abbey confirmed the tradition would continue after councils were told they no longer to have fly flags for the celebration.

Prince Andrew gave up royal duties for the foreseeable future last November following a disastrous Newsnight appearance about his friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

On this day in 1960, Prince Andrew was born at Buckingham Palace, the first child born to a reigning monarch for 103 years.

Happy Birthday to The Duke of York.

A tweet from the Royal Family's official account said on Wednesday: "On this day in 1960, Prince Andrew was born at Buckingham Palace, the first child born to a reigning monarch for 103 years.

"Happy Birthday to The Duke of York."

This family has no shame. They prevent Harry and Meghan from using the brand Sussex Royal because they are no longer carrying out Royal engagements but they still want Andrew to be treated as a Royal even though he also isn't carrying out Royal engagements. These people seem to think putting the wellbeing of your wife and newly born child first is more of a crime than associating with convicted paedophiles.
