This post is not to make light of the corvid 19 outbreak, but merely to generate ideas since we are going to be in various statea of lockdown for at least a month.
Abby and Karen seemed to be the characters who knew how to spring into action during a crisis. Abby was especially good at compartmentalizing so that her grief or frar didn't paralyze her.
What to you think they would do of they were facing the restrictions resulting from the corvid 19 virus if it hit the cul-de-sac in season 3 when they didn't have as much disposable income as they later acquired?

Abby would self isolate with someone else's husband. Karen would hold up in the basement with the kids and a chest freezer full of sensibly prepared ahead meals. In an episode called The Longest Nights.

I imagine a scene with Valene and Karen standing on their respective lawns, looking at each other, waving at each other. They giggle because it feels so silly, but then they start to cry.
Gary appears, takes Valene by the hand and they go back inside the house.
Karen is still standing there and the camera pans away from the MacKenzie place.

Go write a pilot. Send it to all the networks and Donna, Joan and Michelle.

I´m sure the doctor would discover that patient zero was Diana, and she should be sent to space so the virus can get terminated!! There you go beech!!

"Probably", Karen and Abby would blame each other for it, and Karen would be right, of course. Val would stress over it, and everybody would say "Poor, poor Val". And Lilimae would drive her crazy for playing non-stop her silly instrument for 40 long days...

Abby would have made sure to buy up all the hand sanitizer on the west coast, storing it in her garage as she orders Olivia and Brian to sell it at the school bus stop for a hideous mark-up. Mack will order a price-gouging investigation on behalf of the Governor's office, but the case will stall out when Abby plants some empty Purell bottles in Karen's sewing basket and hints that Karen "might be keeping secrets" from him.

Ginger and Kenny sit in their living room, watching the ongoing coverage of the pandemic on TV. Kenny lets out a sarcastic "hmph" and points out that their neighbors have "socially distanced" themselves from him and Ginger for years---and none of them has any fancy new virus as an excuse.

Once Olivia realizes her mother is using her and Brian to make obscene profits off others' misfortune, she starts skimming some of the money off the top and filling a rented storage unit with toilet paper, showing the apple does not fall far from the tree.

Greg calls Paige to tell her Anne has elected to 'self-isolate'--in the deposit vault at Kensington National Bank. She hasn't tested positive and frankly has never felt better, but decided it was 'the right thing to do'. We then see Anne sipping martinis while lying naked atop a pile of money in the middle of the vault, with the bank managers all crowding around the security camera monitor trying to get a better view.

Karen would probably cook endlessly while complaining that the management of the current pandemic is not what it used to be..

Once all the nail salons, beauty parlors and plastic surgeries shut down, the residents of the cul-de-sac will slowly begin to look....different. Abby will come out the best of the bunch, since she's always done her own make-up and has a fifty-five gallon drum of mascara hidden in the basement. Mack will realize his hairpiece isn't adhering as well as it has in the past because the tube of adhesive has gone well past its sell date. He's unable to go out to buy more, so he has to hope that the wind doesn't kick up. He's the first to notice that Karen's gray roots are starting to show, but he doesn't dare bring it up given his own quiet crisis. Unfortunately Miss Clairol won't make house calls in the age of Covid-19, so Lilimae offers to give her a strategic touch-up with black shoe polish. It goes about as well as you'd expect. Val's appointments with her 'nutritionist' (a Botox/filler clinic) have been cancelled so she is starting to notice her face can move again, which causes her to fear Gary will develop another wandering eye toward another woman. Little does she realize that Gary hasn't even noticed her face lift is unravelling--it's her disastrous home perm that makes him unable to make love to her, since she now looks like a blond Little Orphan Annie.

And at the end it’ll turn out Abby made a deal with the Chinese to spread this new virus around lotus point so she can buy Karen’s share at a low cost, but then things just ‘got a little bit out of hand’
Of course Donne will protest cause that’ll make abbby too evil. So She’ll claim of course it wasn’t her fault. Just a misunderstanding like the twins.

Karen would make an epic speech saying how much she hates not being able to leave her toilet paper on the front lawn or send hand sanitiser in the mail.

But nobody would be close enough to hear it.
