A great song to play in your car, very loud and with the windows open.
I must admit I thought of you when I heard this one.

Cicero - Love is Everywhere

I recognise the name and this song, but I can't place him in any of the decades I've been listening to music.

Good find though, I really like it.

This week, it's "The Love In Me" by Thomas Anders

I think it's very lovely.

I really like it! It's got the same euphoric early 90s feel as 'Independence' by Lulu. I'm gonna have to buy it.

My new jam is this little gem, a rare '60s track by David Essex:

Speaking of stroppy
Which makes me wonder, are there any friendly punk (or post/neo/semi-) punk songs?
This is not hardcore punk of course, it sounds very (oops, almost wrote "nice") pleasant, and surprisingly familiar.
Lots of details that remind me of other songs. I like that sound starting at 1:37.

Depends what you mean by punk, of course, but 'Teenage Kicks' by the Undertones is pretty life-affirming. So is 'Love You More' by the Buzzcocks --"until the razor cuts", anyway.

Haha.

Maybe I just assumed it was all "anti", and devoid of anything too romantic or positive.
"Fair-weather friend", such a funny expression. We call it "mooi-weer vriend", but I hadn't heard it in ages.
Probably too old-fashioned now.

This sounds like a very famous song (or a song that should be famous) but I had never heard it before.

And apparently I wasn't the only one.
