and I spent a long time listening to a lot of movie scores!
I've always enjoyed movie scores, sometimes more so than the movie itself. When I need to concentrate on family history I often put a CD soundtrack on because for some reason it relaxes my mind while researching.

Richard any idea when the final trailer will be ready? Will you be using Dynasty stock footage to create a re-imagined version of how Dynasty should have been?

I don't know, not for a while I guess. maybe in a couple of months. With the last one I have most of what I need, the music is ready and a lot of the scenes are already done. So it shouldn't take too long.

I've avoided using anything from the original, be it audio or visual, where possible. I did have to use some scenes of Alexis studio for this one and one scene of the mansion at night.

Amazing work @Richard Channing. The clips of the original actors from the 60s make me wonder if indeed it would have been possible to have a prequel series--who could possibly play them?
When I first began viewing the U.S. Series "Cold Case" I was surprised how well the casting director selected actors to represent a character from their early years to their senior years. If ever a Dynasty prequel series was created I couldn't see any problem casting those characters. Actors skilled in their craft would just need to learn the mannerisms of those actors from original Dynasty. And I wouldn't necessarily go for established names either.

2017 I think (unless it is 2016)

Take what you are saying, close your eyes, add "CW" to it, and then open your eyes and tell me what you see. :D

If ever a Dynasty prequel series was created I couldn't see any problem casting those characters.
I would start the series with a before-the-story-begins-scene, before the glamorous opening credits.
Agatha Scott visits her cousin, Minx Morell, and the four young girls are playing a tea party and it's all very lovely - pearls, hats and gloves, toys, lace and roses.
Suddenly the girls begin to fight and it's getting pretty serious, and this results in a big argument between Minx and Agatha, who then takes her daughters and storms out of the house.
"How dare she! That bitch!" (echo, echo, echo - screen fades to black).

And then the story really begins with the younger versions of Blake and Ben. and Alexis who arrives in America and is welcomed by her cousin Francesca and Agatha's ex-husband, Sylvander Scott.
Maybe they could do one of those Judith Krantz-esque accidental meetings e.g. Ben and Alexis buying a newspaper at exactly the same time (and the tragic death of Andrew Colby's wife is front-page news of course).

Beryl Fox (if we're not going to recast and rename Bart Fallmont).

Beryl makes me think of Beryl Reed, a well known British actress. Dunno if she was known in the US.

But for me at least has a bit of a 'granny' or 'old dear' connotation. Maybe she needs something a bit sexier and more sophisticated. I like the Fox part though.

I kinda had it in my head that her name might be Stella. But mostly because I had a clip of Joan Collins saying something bitchy about a Stella that I thought I might use. Stella Fox doesn't sound bad at all actually, but maybe we can do better.

It's just that Beryl is a gemstone. Of course I want Stanwyck named Rubenstein "Ruby" instead of Constamce, but Constance is already established.

Oh, Stella Fox sounds very good -- and if you've got the audio already, then why not??

I like Stella or Estella but I'm not sure Fox works. Or maybe it does, didn't Liz almost bankrupt Fox studios with Cleopatra?

Lady Estella Fox. Stella!

Actually Stella or Estella Fox is perfect. As Stella/Estella means Star and then Fox was the studio where she made $1 million for her role as Cleopatra. Then just throw in Lady for kicks.
Lady Stella Fox. Lady Estella Fox.

Stella Fox! The actress? Yes! Stella Fox! Wasn't she a lady? Estella? Lady of the night maybe? Carrington's mistress? I heard she got her name from the fox furs he'd make her wear, ya know, like the ones Alexis always wore! Nooooo?

Stella Fox.

Yes to all of this! Except....I got to thinking last night and you know what rolls off the tongue really well is Stella Morell.

Snarky suggested in one of the other threads that maybe she could be Alexis' cousin and maybe it's not a bad idea? I mean it's all very incestuous of course but that's Dynasty for ya. I guess the Scotts are from Alexis mother's side of the family? So Stella would be Alexis' cousin but not Sables. Blake and her could have met at a family gathering sometime in the past. It's clear from the restaurant scene in trailer 2 that her and Alexis already know each other so maybe them being cousins make sense.

So Stella Fox or Stella Morell, what do y'all think?

Maybe Fox was her stage name? Briefly.

Of course, I've always wanted Lady Ashley's surname changed from 'Mitchell' to something like "Foch" or "Foche."

I mean, that almost sounds like Fox.
