I'm not sure how or why, but when I've attached pictures to my posts today and clicked on the full-size option, they've come out a lot bigger than they normally do. I think they look better a bit smaller. Is there anyway of going back to the size they were before? Thanks!

That was probably my fault, all my forum screen shots came out like tiny. So I changed a setting, there must be a way we can customise the size we all want. I will look into it unless someone else like @Ome knows.

I was away so long I can't remember how things work.

There is also a way of manually changing how images look.

If it's not too late, you can select "Edit" for the post in question then click on a picture. A blue box will appear around it and you can then drag from the corner to make it the size you'd like.

This won't change the file size and the pictures can still expand to full size if you click on them, but it's a handy way of displaying them at a size that you like aesthetically.

Thanks, Mel, but that won't work for me for some reason ...

Sorry to be boring, but are there any other suggestions of how to make pictures smaller?

Oh drat. That's a pain.

For me it doesn't work when I'm creating the post. I have to post, then edit the post after it's made. But that's possibly a moot point if it's not working.

Never feel like you have to apologise, especially when it's anything connected to the admin; it's out of the control of the mods. I've not been around in a long time, and Pamela had been busy with real life that she would be a bit rusty with the controls. I've tinkered about a bit of a bit, so let me know if that has helped you. If not, I will try something else. It's a case of trying various things until we get it sorted.

It will help me know whether you are using C&P (from the net) to post an image or attaching them from your computer.

If any other member is following this thread, could you post a few images to see if it's the same for everyone? Also, could members check if they can adjust the image as @Mel O'Drama advised earlier in this thread?

Thanks for your patience James, we will get it sorted in the end... somehow... :hat:

I've never had a problem in resizing images. Once I've uploaded I simply click on the image once and the blue border will appear around the image. From this point I can manually change the image size to the desired effect.

It works for me. I've twice linked this picture hosted elsewhere. I clicked on the second image and it became surrounded by a blue box, I dragged the bottom right corner to shrink it down in size.

No luck so far, I'm afraid.

I've been attaching them.

Strange. When I've tried the dragging thing, the whole image moves instead.

Thanks a million, Ome!

Before and after. You can just about see the blue box around the image in the second photo.

This only works if you attach the photo using the insert image (or control + P) button at the top of the your posting and not the attach file paper clip at the bottom of your posting.

It sometimes doesn't work until you edit a post after it's been posted but normally it works even before I post.

I can upload from my computer and change the size myself - highlight the blue on outside of pic and drag to size you want

Ah, so it works if I do it from my phone (cos my phone offers me a choice of image sizes).

But it doesn't offer that option on all images, just ones I've only just taken. How confusing!

Okay, I seem to have figured out a roundabout way of doing it. Thanks for indulging me, everyone!
