Should Pam have been one-quarter Mexican?

Apparently VP is the youngest person to ever exist in the multiverse. She has a painting of herself that shows an increasing old woman every year. VP's maid discovered it and VP hit her with a phone.

    Opinions Of Nicholas Pearce

The stop motion made it seem as if they were going to end there and the cliffhanger would be if it was Nicholas or JR. That, of course, would have been ridiculous because there's zero mystery to such a cliffhanger. When they unfroze it, it was as if the show was saying to the audience, "Fooled...

I honestly couldn't see her with either of them. It's definitely fate that she should be in some relationship with JR, even when they are battling, but if not JR, the only one I can see her with is Dusty. However, even with Dusty, she would seem incomplete without JR, like yin without its yang.

I liked the scene in which JR hurled him over the balcony, enraging Sue Ellen enough to shoot JR, twice, then call the police and say in a way only Sue Ellen can, "I'd like to report a double murder." I think she even took off her earring first.

Emmy Award for Most Improved and Razzie forActor Who Got Worse

Two actors who improved quite a bit as the seasons went on were Victoria Principal and Nicollete Sheridan. It seemed that they gave more nuanced performances instead of relying on one or two emotions or moods.

Which Female Character's fashion did you like the best?

I'm clearly in the minority on that dress. Even Joan didn't like it! That surprises me because I always thought she had more input into her outfits on the show.

Emmy Award for Most Improved and Razzie forActor Who Got Worse

I always like William Devane, but you make an interesting point. I heard someone make a comment on Jack Nicholson's acting, and I do believe he is a great actor, that there were later movies in which he was just "being Jack Nicholson." I wonder if some really talented actors can get to the...

Thank you! I love it! But there must be room somewhere for a little pastel:)

Which Female Character's fashion did you like the best?

I laughed out loud when I saw this response! I was going to include in my posts, and I guess I should have, that my sartorial skills are not the best. In fact, just the other day I went shopping for some clothes with my brother and he was horrified by what I was considering buying, so I am the...

Emmy Award for Most Improved and Razzie forActor Who Got Worse

In the Big Four of Soapland there were many wonderful actors. However, mot all of them may have started that way. If if you ou could select an actor whose performances improved the most over his or her time on their show, who would it be? On the flip side, and I feel a bit wicked for including...

Which Female Character's fashion did you like the best?

For all the attention Dynasty received for their clothes, imho, Dallas did fashion better, at least with Sue Ellen and Katherine. Sue Ellen always displayed class and taste. Katherine was always fascinating to see. Dynasty was too ostentatious that their was a sense of "trying too hard."...

Who Was Worse, JR Or Cliff?

Good point about the anger and resentment. Both of them had been heavily influenced by their fathers, and that influence, and the desire to please the memories of their fathers, informed how they viewed the world.

    Soap (TV series)

A bit of gossip here, but apparently Susan Harris, after working with Doris Robert's on Soap, refused to ever work with her again. She was not a fan of her personality.

It's funny and, at times, poignant.

I liked the movie and loved the book. I hope they do a good job with it.

    Funny things you’ve noticed

Along with #3, they have a fully stocked bar set up in such a tantalizing manner, yet Sue Ellen has a SERIOUS alcohol problem, their son Gary has a SERIOUS alcohol addiction, and his daughter Lucy has had problems with drugs and gotten drunk at least once. Never has anyone mentioned that maybe...

    Chewing the scenery KL style

That's got to be a hard thing to do, cry in a scene and make it look real. The best cry I ever saw was Valene's when the doctor tells her that her twins "died" in childbirth. They should have given her an Emmy just for that scene.

Did you ever wonder why Sue Ellen got stuck driving a station wagon while everyone else ...

If Dallas had premiered a few years later, Sue Ellen definitely would have been driving a fancier and flashier car. However, it was the late 1970s, so it kind of fit the times, at least television wise, if not the character. Of course, maybe it was some passive aggressive thing on Sue Ellen’s...
