When i was young and stayed a my nans

a salad to her was Lettuce, tomato, cucumber and a bit of cheese - if she was being adventurous - a bit of beetroot or celery

I like salads in moderation - but once you have been to the supermarket and bought everything i find them rather costly and are eating them for lunch at work the next few days to use up everything

I like a bit of ham and salami, coleslaw and potato salad, a mixed salad from a supermarket including the usual (Lettuce, tomato, cucumber )and a few peppers etc
also like sweetcorn, carrot and onion, edaname and a few crisps or nachos to eat with it and nice bread

Dressing wise - Caesar / honey and mustard, nothing too strong or over powering

Ive got a soft spot for Subway sandwiches when on hols and I dont like the food - and like the italian BMT with lots of toppings and ion brown bread

Iceberg lettuce, radish, celery, peppers, red onion, sweetcorn, honey roast ham with M&S honey mustard dressing and I'm in heaven.
