We did a top ten of Bowie songs too.



I love the idea of doing one for ABBA

Then I tried to think of other big names to see who else we could do. I don't know if there is enough for the likes of Madonna, Queen, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Prince, Elton John...



Then I thought about doing decades. We could do best covers from 60s, 70s etc...

Do you mean covers released in those decades, or covers of 60s/70s etc hits (released in another decade)

I mean covers of songs from that particular decade. The cover can happen in any decade, so that fab cover of Phantom Bride would be used in the 80s cover songs thread.

I've just finished this and it's brilliant. One of my favourite Erasure songs and I love what they've done with it, especially the chorus.

Personally I think the "versus" top 10s work best for artists with relatively limited discographies e.g. Visage vs. The Buggles.
Doing two artists at the same time, both a with a massive music catalogue, would be a little too time-consuming for me.

And there's still so very many famous artists who deserve their own top 10 (Hot Chocolate, 10cc...have we done Marc Almond yet?)

Bob Dylan vs. Neil Young......I don't think anyone on here likes their music though?

Brilliant songwriters, but not the greatest performers (imho)

Well..........I am just going to keep posting battles as they come into my head......whether they are done or not doesn't really matter to me these are just suggestions. For me this is all for fun and to get to listen to new music I have near heard and getting to hear old songs that I had forgotten about.
