I wanted to like this show far more than I ever did. I watched, with a combination of mild interest and slight annoyance, the first three seasons. I figured I'd finish out the fourth and last season but, two episodes in, and I just couldn't take it.
Like RIVERDALE, which I also gave up on (much earlier), the show was weirdly erratic in tone. Episodes bounced between earnest to satiric to melodramatic to comedic; it seemed like the producers and writers didn't know what kind of show they were making, so they just threw everything at the screen. Also its ambitions were way too high. A spooky show about a teenaged witch would have been fun; a show about the Queen of Hell just looked cheesy on the limited budget here.
Shame; I really like Kiernan Shipka and the show's style (when it was consistent).
