It’s worth noting that they have not repeated the serial in its entirety.

When they first started re-running the “classic” episodes on itv3 their starting point was episodes first broadcast in 1988.

Fast forward several years later and they are now up to episodes originally aired in 2002.

Sorry, but I have no recordings.

1986 - not 1988.

Well, I genuinely thought that they picked it up towards the end of the Bill Podmore era in 1988 but if it’s 1986 then I stand corrected.

It’s amazing how quickly they managed to whiz through the 1990s episodes on itv3 given that it only aired originally for three times a week for most of this period.

Yeah, I agree with you. It’s the same with Classic EastEnders on UKTV Drama. They started that from the beginning back in 2018, and now, in 2023, they are up to the 2002 episodes.

To put this in context, it effectively means that it was taking them a mere 4 months on itv3 to burn up a year’s supply of episodes :)

I remember years ago the Granada+ reruns for 1976 onwards being available on YouTube in their original format - shame they've been taken down and the person whose re-uploading them has them in a completely unwatchable stretched format with loads of missing episodes as that's the only way they stay up.

Maybe one day we'll get a full rerun of Corrie. As great as the classic corrie on ITV3 is there must be room in the market for the 60s and 70s episodes - even if it's a DVD release. Ignoring the first 26 years of the show is a bit of a slight.

Hello,
Has anyone here recorded & kept all or most episodes of Classic Coronation Street (ITV3) from the beginning?
I have been collecting Corrie for years! And now have 1960 thru to 1970 as partial years and then from 1971 until now being all complete years. It's been amazing to watch so many of the earlier years again... It really is a piece of TV soap history!
