I haven’t gotten around to seeing this yet but it’s definitely on my list of shows to go back and binge watch at some point. I’ve heard nothing but positive things about it from the beginning.

I'm a avid fan of Cobra Kai. I love how well written, funny it is. I'm so hoping for a sixth season. It's sad Pat Morita never lived long enough to be a part of this.

I love Cobra Kai. It's one of the best shows on TV right now. It has gone from strength to strength and just keeps upping the ante every season. The way they use flashbacks from the 3 movies is just perfect and I love how they have brought back so many secondary characters from the movies and weaved them into the show.
They manage to strike the right balance between funny and dramatic, every episode is just so entertaining. Also they manage to make it something that both teenagers and adults who were fans of the movies back in the 80's can enjoy. And I love how they have honour the spiritual teachings of M. Miyagi and his legacy is an integral part of the show.
It's actually quite soapy and yes, there are plenty of cliches, like characters showing up at just the right moment to witness a kiss etc. but they make it work. It can be cheesy, but in the best possible way.
The season 2 cliffhanger was such an awesome half hour of TV! I couldn't remember the last time the season finale of a show had me on the edge of my seat they way that episode did. It did exactly what a season finale should do, and they have keep that standard up with consecutive finales.
My one criticism, and this is not of the show itself, is that the Netflix visuals/poster was so spoilery watching the earlier seasons. It told me ahead of time who would be coming back and what characters would be changing sides based on the gi they were wearing. Really annoying.
