What is your favourite opening credit title (visual), for each of the core cast? My choices are;
Jane Wyman: Angela sitting in the back of the black Mercedes 600, as the window goes down - season 1, 2 and 3 (different costume).
Robert Foxworth: Chase in the Gioberti castle, with a glass of wine - season 3.
Lorenzo Lamas: What are Lance's plans for today; while looking tough, complete with black leather jacket - season 2 and 3.
David Selby: What is Richard looking so pleased about, outside the front door of his ranch - season 6.
William R. Moses: Cole in one of the vineyards - season 4.
Ana Alicia: It is all about the beauty and glamour with Melissa - season 4.
Jamie Rose: A pleasant looking choice for Vicki - season 1 and 2.
Abby Dalton: Julia looking perplexed - season 2.
Margaret Ladd: A deep in thought moment for Emma, beside Angela's rose bush - season 6.
Chao-Li Chi: Angela's right hand man doing a spot of meditation - season 9.
Susan Sullivan: Maggie spins around for the camera, with the water fountain nearby - season 3 and 4.
Richard Channing has now taken over from his father, as the publisher of the ‘New Globe’. Angela already has her eyes on it, as she attempts to control Julia and Emma’s share. The sun has long since risen and some of the family are at the pool; including the pregnant Melissa, (a scene from season 2, 1982 – ‘83):
Angela is reading the ‘New Globe’, when Julia joins them.
Julia: “Beautiful morning isn’t it?”
Angela: “Where’s your sister?”
Julia: “Emma says she’s not coming down, for breakfast.”
Angela: “Emma is getting very independent these days.”
Julia: “Bringing up Uncle Jason’s death seems just what she has needed.”
Angela: “What Emma needs is a little self restraint. She almost destroyed us, with her testimony.”
Lance appears from around the corner of the FC mansion, in his red Porsche 944.
Julia: “Lance we’re down here!”
Lance makes his way to the pool.
Julia: “How about some breakfast?”
Melissa leaves the company of Angela and Julia.
Melissa: “Lance were where you all night?”
Lance: “I had a prior engagement, my apologies.”
Melissa: “You can’t do this to me. I’m your wife!”
Lance: “Oh please don’t remind me!”
Melissa looks over at Angela and then raises her voice: "I’ve been waiting up for you all night.”
She then walks off.
Angela storms over to her grandson.
Angela: “Lance!”
Julia looks over the top of the ‘New Globe’.
Angela: “Why do you two always have to bicker?”
Lance: “Now what could we possibly have to bicker about? She’s just sensitive. The pregnancy is tiring her.”
Angela: “Well you should give her more respect.”
Lance: “Respect. You gotta be kidding, what for?”
The Lance and Melissa love hate relationship reaches steam.
Angela: “Well first of all she’s your wife and second I want you to talk to Emma. She trusts you.”
Lance: “I doubt that.”
Angela: “Then you’ll have to trust her again. I want her proxy and I want it by the end of the month.”
Lance: “Look she’s already told you, how she feels about that.”
