Does anyone remember Dr Hal Lantry (Ron Rifkin) ?

He was up against Chase Gioberti (Robert Foxworth) back in 1983.

Ron Rifkin is probably the biggest surprise for me in terms of the cast's post-Falcon Crest career. When I saw him on Alias and Brothers & Sisters, I could hardly believe that this strong actor was Dr Landry. Not that he was bad on Falcon Crest, but I didn't think he was particularly great as an actor either. So I was surprised that he had his breakthrough in two popular shows when he was older.

I don't remember exactly, but didn't Dr Landry kill himself in custody? Or was he actually convicted and sent to prison?

I believe he intentionally overdosed while being arrested.
