Something can be two things at once.

I'm only familiar with him from the Joe Rogan podcast. I'm not sure how much I agree with his ideas, but I found them interesting enough to buy one of his books. On the other hand, I haven't actually read the book so I guess I wasn't that interested.

Less relevant, but I love the word "snooty" and it always makes me think of Louis Nye.

He's a laugh-out-loud funny elitist bitch -- and while I can stomach a little of that, he says he has "a special hatred" for Ed Snowden and Julian Assange.... So if Murray isn't receiving a twice-monthly check from Langley, he's still too much of a semi-spook at heart for my tolerance.

That said, I prefer him a little scruffy:

This shows what a bitch pro-war fascist Douglas Murray is (if you have three hours to kill -- I couldn't get past hour two). Under the spotlight pressure from Joe Rogan and Dave Smith, the Murray posing falls apart:

Much of the Internet is roasting Murray for his pretentions and hypocrisy, but the mainstream news sources are spinning it to sound like Murray somehow got the best of Rogan for his "conspiracy theories" and Rogan's willingness to "just talk" with "non-experts" on various topics.

This sums it up more accurately:

Murray may be the William F Buckley of our day --- all hot air and attitude and a certain degree of rhetorical skill... Yes, yes, he was right (more or less) about Woke-ism and the lax border policies. But he serves the establishment. and he's probably a spook. He has a house near Langley, doesn't he?

I'm only now discovering Douglas Murray, and I find him absolutely insufferable.

He only wanted to insult Dave Smith rather than engage in honest debate. What makes one an expert? Educating yourself on a particular subject counts, in most people's opinion, and Smith has obviously done that work. People can disagree with his opinion, but if you think he's wrong, debate him on the facts. I did not see honest debating going on by Murray. I've encountered people like Murray before on social media (and a few here on tellytalk.) To them, the only "experts" are those who feed their confirmation bias.

Yes, the only thing he would debate on Rogan was who did/didn't have a right to debate.

But, unsurprisingly, he has his supporters in establishment media (and elsewhere). Those (like Bill Maher) who instantly had Murray on their own shows to swoon over Murray's "bravery" in telling "the truth." And maximize damage-control for him (and his agenda) after his meltdown on Rogan.

The bitchy bastard's obviously intel. He screams (in his case, literally) of it.

Agree or disagree with him, he is intelligent, articulate and thought-provoking.
I would rather people listen to him and people of similar intellect, and form an opinion,
one way or another, inststead of the drivel from late night TV, talk shows like the one with the clueless mouthpieces for the DNC,
or legacy media which has lost credibility.
The only news source that I respect is the Wall Street Journal
because it helps to follow the bucks
