I just rewatched Harold and Maude(1971). October is the perfect month for it and the soundtrack. It's one of my favorite movies, but I read some reviews when it first came out. They were not favorable at the time, but apparently time has been kind to the movie.
I love it regardless of aby reviews, but I can understand why it's not to everyone's taste. What are people's opinions? Love it? Despise it? Somewhere in the middle?

I think it's a great film: funny, quirky, interesting and moving. Great performances and wonderful use of the music of Cat Stevens. It's really hard to fault this film and it seems to gets better every time I watch it.

I absolutely love this film. It's got a lot to say and does it with humour and charm. Also Ruth Gordon is a joy to watch in pretty much anything.

I must watch this one of these days. I´m a big fan of Ms. Castevet, I mean, Gordon, since I saw her in her Oscar-winning role of "Rosemary´s Baby". She and her husband were a great writing couple, and signed the best Tracy-Hepburn movies. She also wrote a play and its movie adaptation about her start as an actress in her humble family, it´s called "The Actress" and her character was played by a young Jean Simmons. A very recommendable B-movie that rings truer than most B-movies.

That orchestra director really was a cynical person for using
THAT tune to welcome Ruth to the stage...
