Four fatalities in less than a week. I’m pleased
David Tag doesn't age well, maybe that's why he was fired. He is only 36, but if someone told me he's 45 I would have believed it. Anyway I'm sad Sylver is gone, but he was no veteran or huge fan favorite, so it was obvious he had to go sooner or later, because Mercedes always needs a new man in her life.

We've seen Marnie a lot in recent episodes, even though she has no major storyline, so I wouldn't be surprised if she'd die, too.
Well, they had already confirmed that a Nightingale would die. Romeo and James were ruled out, since they were mentioned in future episode descriptions.

I thought the explosion was a good disaster, better than I expected. I liked that characters who actually still had a story had to die, but it would have been nice if more useless characters had also died.

Don't know what to think of that behind the scenes drama. An experienced actress like Lysette Anthony should actually be smarter in her statements or does she not want to work anywhere anymore?

Any word yet what's happening to Mandy? A recast or an off-screen exit?

Which useless characters would you like to have seen expire ?

I don’t know about Mandy yet but I would guess an offscreen exit, rather than a recast. Sarah Jayne Dunn did play that character on and off over a 25 year period.

Oh, Gemma Atkinson was filming a brief return as Lisa Hunter this week. There were pictures released of her with Kelly Condron (Zara Morgan) and Gary Lucy (Luke Morgan).

I do recall Lysette criticised Night and Day producers (inc Damien Timmer and Michele Buck) in the press over the shooting schedule of Night and Day, claiming it gave her a nervous breakdown. None of the other actors on N&D criticised the producers.

Certainly Michele Buck and Damien Timmer have not cast her in Mammoth Screen (their company, now ITV owned) shows after the N&D debacle as she has appeared in none of them.

Lucy Allan is pretty ruthless, and who can blame her?

C4 screwed her over with the Loretta Jones plot line (she had to pull it due to possible exploitation) , only to later air a reality show, Stage School, with Rob Knox's brother Jamie, directly after Hollyoaks on E4 and even have him promoting the show on Lorraine prior to transmission. That turned out to be a disaster, because the double standard card could be played by Lime Pictures, and as a result C4 had to axe Jamie Knox fairly quickly from Stage School and retool it.

It also meant no press outrage could be taken seriously by Lime - see the killings of Jordan and Harry on HO, and yet silence.

That whole sorry saga too is why Celebrity Coach Trip is airing at 8pm on E4 due to Linda Robson (prior to this series, Coach Trip had HO as a lead in on E4, and I bet considering Paul Danan, that was to be the original intention). Considering LR's son though, it is understandable why Lucy Allan did not want it being a lead out to her show (didn't help Linda initially backed the Knox family too with the Stage School affair).

(Certainly Linda will not be considered for a role in the future either).

Kelly maybe, her comeback isn't as good as I hoped it would be. Liberty has become a bit boring, Damon, too.
Kelly, do you mean Zara (Kelly Condron)?

New titles: Better look. Walter isn’t on those.

Still nice to see Warren in the titles, so happy around people who he has either beaten up, tried to murder or whose loved ones he has either bumped off, caused to be bumped off or tried to murder.

People doing freeze frames and close-ups have shown that when Misbah was trying to revive Marnie, Harvey Virdi (Misbah) was doing CPR on her own clothing, behind Lysette Anthony and not touching Lysette.

I'm not a fan of Sienna, but the way she is dealing with Ethan is fun.
