Has anyone watched this?

I binged all four episodes. She has always been my favourite Jackson, she just seemed to a little more edgy with her feet on the ground.

Interesting to see her transition, even her voice changed from something quite timid to a tone of don't mess with me once her confidence grew.

I never really thought about the impact on her career of all the MJ allegations.
I also didn't realise how nipplegate messed up her career. Crazy to think about the reaction to that, it was like it was 1891 the way it caused her to be crucified. Surreal to think it wasn't really that long ago, thay a nipple could cause such an outcry.

It was also nice to get an insight into the relationship with her mum and family.

I really enjoyed it, I forgot how many fantastic songs she released. I think her achievements are somewhat overlooked.

It was a very good documentary and I learned a lot about her that I didn't know beforehand.

Just watching her walk around their old house in Gary was fascinating and yes, the downturn in her career following the allegations about her brother and then nipplegate was so sad to hear.

Unfortunately there has been some very negative press after it being screened in Australia as the bit where she defends her brother was completely taken out leading to some of the Jackson family asking for reasons why.

Apparently though the broadcast version was the one they had been given by the U.S and hadn't edited it themselves. A great shame as this was Janet's story and should have been broadcast everywhere without cuts.

I think that was left in with the edit I watched. She feels he could never have done that.

I thought it was fascinating, how she went from this quietly spoken young woman into a complete powerhouse.

I also liked the bit where she didn't like her ex filming her mum. It was to nice to see the relationship with her family.

I did wonder why La Toya wasn't in it. She seems to have vanished.

I never understood why Janet was penalized for the Super Bowl malfunction, but Justin got off scot free. I also understand people being upset, but it wasn't that big a deal. A natural part of a woman's body was briefly exposed. It's not hard core pornography.
