John Candy: I Like Me (2025)

I've always liked John Candy. Back when I was a kid, my dad used to watch UNCLE BUCK every time he saw it on TV, and we had the DVD of NOTHING BUT TROUBLE for a long time. I bought a copy of SPACEBALLS when I found in the five-dollar dump bin at Walmart many moons ago.

I found the idea of this documentary interesting when I first learned about it, but as of yet, I haven't watched it. I've got it on my "To Watch List" and I'm hoping to get it checked off soon.

No spoilers, if there are any, but have any of you watched this yet?

No. I was watching it on my television machine from my bedroom.

I haven’t watched the documentary yet but I definitely will at some point. Loved him in STRIPES but I think my favorite role of his was actually as Dean Andrews in JFK. At that point I was so used to seeing him in mostly comedic roles so it felt like something quite different. Smaller role, of course, but I thought he was very good.
