How many of us here (besides myself) remember when newspapers used to have ads within their entertainment or features sections for the movies of the time, and how we determined which one(s) we wanted to see based on those ads?
I've been browsing through several old papers I've been getting from EBay, and found a few really good ones of the time in them, and here are a few examples:
--The China Syndrome from 1979 from Columbia Pictures, on page 6G (the Everyday section, for entertainment and features) of the Sunday, March 25, 1979 St. Louis Post-Dispatch...

--and Kramer vs. Kramer (also from Columbia Pictures, that same year), on pages E11 and E12 (Scene section, same topic) of the Sunday, May 25, 1980 Seattle Times.

Thought I'd bring this up because we all look at phones, websites and social media now to determine what we want to see, and this is a lost art, practically moribund.
Of course, there are more papers in my collection that have these, and I'll likely be digging through to find 'em-- BTW, what one(s) do you remember?
