Let's be honest, if true, they can call themselves different names but they'd only be doing so to avoid paying Warner Bros. and the many other people who get DALLAS royalties.

Plus, we'd inevitably be thinking that Sue Ellen and Bobby are dead. So, please just work together at a different location instead of taking everything they can from a dead horse.

sometime 2005 (i guess)
So Larry Hagmans death lead to TNT Dallas' cancellation. Good to know!
So glad it wasn't missing research, abysmal writing and completely ignoring, what OG Dallas was about.
Great article, thanks for clearing that finally up!

I will only watch it if the new owners are played by Pamela Sue Martin and Al Corley (also no connection to Dynasty).
I was thinking the new owners should be played by lovers, Priscilla Presley and Morgan Fairchild (also no connection to Jenna Wade).

The basic plot is not a bad idea, but setting it at Southfork for no in-story reason makes little sense.
If the idea was to have Linda Gray return as Sue Ellen the drunk ghost I'd be all in. The obvious problem for us is accepting Sue Ellen has died between 2014 and now. Okay, I could accept the premise if only the character of Pam returns.

I'm certain Victoria could be talked into coming out of retirement just to do the voice-over.

And that's what's going to make viewers hungry, they'll want it to be very connected to Dallas.
If Linda Gray's scheme works then we may see the return of TNTDallas after all! (only available to fans of the revival series, not the complainers)

Linda Gray is currently trying to find investors for a tv movie in which she and Patrick Duffy play poltergeists who haunt the Southfork Ranch.

I thought it was April Fools day!! Or its a National Enquirer story but they dont write about Dallas anymore!
Sounds dreadful

Linda should stick to flogging her autographs - if it were true!

I'd rather Patrick, Linda, Steve, Sheree and others play new characters. It could be about rivaling ranch families involved in a range war.

I personally think that would fail. Too many of us will make comparisons to Dallas and to a lesser extent, Yellowstone. In competent hands I'd rather see a continuation of Dallas with Bobby, Sue Ellen, John Ross, Lucas (as Christopher is dead), Donna, Margaret and that unknown child of Cally and a recast of James...or not...as he can be easily killed off, off screen. My reasoning for killing off Christopher was he was the last known connection to the Barnes family and I'd much rather move on from that.

I think there is enough juice left in the tank by introducing Lucas and Cally's now, young adult son. I'd like to visit the conflict which will arise between, Bobby/Lucas and John Ross and his half-brother. Oh and spare me the long lost daughter of JR. I wouldn't bother revisiting that half-baked idea.

Just my thoughts.
