I'M STARTING TO THINK YOU MAY NOT BE CRAZY - Dominique (Michael Michele) plans to launch her new fashion line as she and Alexis (Elaine Hendrix) once again vie for the same thing: ownership of the "Sensational Sequins" factory. With nothing going as planned for either of them they resort to going undercover as drag queens. Meanwhile, as Sam (Rafael de la Fuente) and Culhane (Robert C. Riley) continue their business partnership they find themselves running into a very unusual roadblock: the dry cleaner has misplaced Sam's order leaving him with no clean pyjama shirts! Liam's (Adam Huber) research turns up some interesting facts: pineapples do not grow on pine trees or apple trees! He and Fallon (Elizabeth Gillies) devise a plan to find more information but someone (Tommy, the boy Fallon argued with at the library) seems to be one step ahead of them (because he can read and pays attention in class) so they once again turn to Jeff (Sam Adegoke), Bill Nye and Neil deGrasse Tyson for help. Blake (Grant Show) embarks on a new adventure: posting mukbang videos on Tik Tok. Also starring Alan Dale, Daniella Alonso and Sam Underwood. (#412). The episode was written by Garrett Oakley and directed by Brandi Bradburn. Original airdate 7/29/2021

Liam's returning from his investigation, and Fallon can't wait to carry him off to the Casbah, so to speak. But he just shows up unannounced, his mind swimming with all kinds of leads on the insider-trading ring, which is still in operation, apparently. The name of "Senator North" is dropped as a suspect in Liam's dad's death. Looks like Fallon will be having to work harder to get his attention. Hopefully she won't burst into song or something.

Blake is seemingly enjoying the new airline, already talking with Anders about expansion. Apparently Blake used to fly planes, but never completed his pilot license.

Jeff gets Culhane to let Dominique use the Club Colby space for her fashion show. But then Alexis hits Culhane up to use the space for a charity function. Culhane, no fan of Dom's, takes some delight in dropping some info on the fashion show into Alexis's lap, knowing Alexis will attempt to sabotage Dominique. As if Alexis needed any prompting!

Cristal has started the experimental treatment, and Adam is still (reluctantly) helping Cristal keep the treatments a secret. Blake soon jumps to the conclusion that she's cheating on him again. Adam tries to get Cristal to let Blake in on what's going on, but she snaps at him that she will do it when she's ready. He looks kind of like a dog who just got kicked.

F&L want to crash a fundraiser at Sen. North's house, with Liam hoping to hack the Senator's computer. Fallon realizes they need to being in a pro, so she enlists Sam. She sends him an e-mail discussing the plan to get Sam invited, but Liam showing up instead in a Sam-ish disguise, but no sooner does Sam get to the mansion (having snagged a valid invitation to the party) than he receives word that he has to provide a picture ID to get in, messing up their plan. They realize that "they" must be reading Fallon's emails (remember the computer hacking at Fallon Unlimited a few episodes ago?).

Clark Hoffman, the guy Dom is hoping to impress with her fashions, decides not to attend her show thanks to Alexis's schemes. So the blood is back in the water. Jeff gives her a pep talk and tells her not to give up. So in the midst of Alexis's luncheon Dom has her models march in to impress some woman at the luncheon who is a fashion buyer. The woman approves.

Fallon and Liam don disguises as caterers (or something) to infiltrate the Senator's party. They're both caught pretty easily. I think that is Kevin Kilner is playing the Senator. Senator North talks a good game, but just looks more sinister. His henchwoman is a real peach, too.

Blake has noticed Adam helping Cristal keep her secret, so he confronts his son. Adam doesn't say what's wrong, but leaves C3's medical file out where Blake could easily look at it, which of course he does. She tells Blake about the experimental treatments, and he tries to 'take charge'. She leaves; he accuses her of running away as always. We next see her sitting next to the pool, but it's an interior set. Adam tells her the initial results of her treatments look promising; Blake then finds her to tell her they're going to tackle this thing together.

When Sam tells Culhane about Leo being a racketeer, Culhane tries to call Leo's bluff. Leo pulls a gun to let them know he ain't bluffing.

Dominique turns the woman down wanting to buy her line (since the woman wanted to make "hideous changes"). Jeff suggests perhaps it's time for ColbyCo to get into the fashion business.

Apparently Blake was once flying a plane with a girlfriend, Daisy. Daisy died when the plane crashed. Anders points out that Blake is freaking out because he sees himself losing another woman he loves. Too bad we never saw this "freaking out" when Celia died.

Fallon tries to talk Liam out of this crusade since they barely made it out of North's office, but he throws it in her face that he's been there for every single one of her crazy crusades. When he goes out to pursue another lead, some goons toss Liam into the back of a van and haul him off.

Dominique chews Alexis out for sabotaging her original fashion show. Dom points out that she has the Amanda secret that she can use against Alexis any time she wants. Alexis counters that Dom has a secret of her own: Turns out Dominique wasn't lying in the mine. How will Jeff react when he learns that Dom is still married to Mr. Brady Lloyd?

As Blake and Cristal embark on a night of passion, she passes out in his arms.

There was a person on tonight that looked exactly like the late Charles Rocket. Can someone help me out who this is?

Hmm, so instead of mentioning the Celia dying, they made up a new girlfriend that died in a plane crash for Blake?

Ooh, Brady Lloyd! Maybe he will quickly be murdered like Mark Jennings on this version.

Forgot to mention it, but the teaser/preview for next week's episode was different from the norm. Fallon is seen dropping a flower into an open grave while a background voice begins a funeral sermon, something like "We are gathered here today to say good-bye to..." as the logo/graphic swirls across the screen. Obviously it's episode 13, when we learn who we're saying good-bye to, so I guess one of Fallon's sarcastic quips wasn't appropriate.

This episode felt like a mid-season cliffhanger, like maybe it was written/produced when they thought they might end up having to take a break (like the old days). The teaser of the funeral reveal---as Liam is kidnapped, Cristal collapses, and Kirby's off becoming a coke-head---would only add to the suspense of a month-long wait. Only we won't have to! They've done a good job of keeping this whole plot with the funeral under wraps; I'm totally at a loss as to whom it will be. All the usual scenarios that have been discussed still could apply even at this late stage, since they've not crossed anyone else off the list.

Culhane (and Sam) were also threatened by the mafia.

I agree though, I have no idea who's going to bite the dust at this point. I still think Liam might fake his death to try and lure out the people behind the conspiracy, especially as the writers have made KNOTS nods before.
