Sexytimes between Liam and Fallon isn't very successful, since she is distracted by the flow of.... Fallon Unlimited stock. I assume the IPO happened in that two-week time jump after Anders's death. Who's buying all her stock? That annoying Colin from several episodes back, back "like a bad rash". He says he only needs 5% more to have controlling interest. She marches into battle, but he out-maneuvers her again, saying he plans to be installed as Chairman of her Board. No, that's not a euphemism, by the way--he wants to run her company, not...
well, you know...
We're all watching Ava trying to move in on Liam while Fallon's preoccupied with FU business.
Kirby's back from rehab. Awkwardness between her and Adam. She confides to Sam that she feels she needs to make a lot of amends with him, among others. She even apologizes to the new pool guy (who never met her).
Amanda arrives at the manor and apologizes to Blake for messing up Blake's press conference in the last episode. After some chit-chat Blake excuses himself to leave Amanda to sit with Cristal in the sunny dining room. When a shaft of sunlight hits Amanda's eyes, Blake notices her sneeze. So anyway, Blake heads upstairs to look through some of Anders's household paperwork, then drops by Alexis's cavernous penthouse to suggest Amanda is his daughter. From Anders's notes at the time: Blake and Alexis attended Warren Buffett's New Year's Party and around the time Amanda was conceived. Blake recalls they ended up in bed that night. Alexis still denies Blake is the father. He even points out that Amanda sneezes in unexpected sunlight just like he does. Well, I do too---does this make me another lost Carrington kid?

So Culhane has gotten Andre, some internet blogger/podcaster to do a show from the hotel, hoping that it will get expanded to regular podcasts once "the club opens". Color me confused: wasn't the expansion into the Club Colby space supposed to be conference space and expanded hotel amenities? If they wanted a "club," they could have just kept Monica's Club Colby intact and not involved Leo and his goons. Arrrgghhh....the blogger/podcast guy is interviewing Jeff about the outer-space plans, but Jeff gets pissed off with the guy and walks out mid-interview. Culhane is....puzzled. I'm puzzled by the CGI "street" outside the hotel---are they unable to do any remotes in downtown Atlanta now? Come to think of it, we barely see the outside of the manor, either.
So Fallon is having to curry favor with her Board members in a last-ditch effort to keep her job. One would think Fallon would have hand-picked people who would be on her side the few months ago when she formed the company, but apparently not. Uh-oh, her uber-romantic dinner under the stars with Liam is conflicting with the board meeting, and Liam feels he is once again on the losing side.
Blake and Adam try to get some DNA off a martini glass that Amanda has handled, but Alexis cleverly "intercepts" the glass before Blake can make off with it. Later, Adam reveals he took Amanda's hairbrush to achieve the same goal. No wonder these Carringtons are so rich---they're kleptomaniacs. Alexis tells Amanda she is afraid that Blake will turn her (Amanda) against her (Alexis) like he did all her other children. Yeah, like Alexis had nothing to do with that.
Kirby pulls up her big girl panties and finally apologizes to Adam for all the hurt she inflicted on him. He says he's not mad---just sad, because he had been picking out rings and all. He doesn't even think they can be friends again. Sam finally blows his stack and points out that she hasn't made amends with HIM, after all the hand-holding and worrying. She realizes Sam cares more about her than anyone on Earth now and apologizes.
Jeff calls Andre and asks him to re-do the podcast, since he screwed it up. Jeff confesses to Culhane he did not get approval on a launch pad space, and he was upset about it. Culhane tells him he could get a launch pad in the ocean---old oil rigs (formerly the property of Carrington Atlantic) off the Georgia coast could be re-purposed if a certain US Senator gets the permits. Or......Culhane and Jeff could throw support $$$ behind Blake's opponent and do the old
quid pro quo. Either way, Jeff gets his launching pad.
The board meeting is held, and
surprise! Colin only gets one board member to vote with him--everyone else votes with Fallon. He says he will divest the stock and leave, but Fallon confesses that he is just as driven and ruthless as she is, and asks if he will stay on "as a consultant." He thinks she has the hots for him (she kinda does), but when he isn't looking she has a smart-ass look on her face that says she has revenge on her mind.
Blake shows up at the penthouse again to announce Amanda is his daughter--the tests prove it. Amanda yells at both of them as being horrible people and says she will deal with them on her own terms, that they can't treat her like property. Battle lines are clearly drawn between Blake and Alexis. Back at the manor, Blake announces Amanda's paternity to the family members and others assembled, but they seem to shrug and move on, having gotten accustomed to the drama after all this time I guess.
Ava "drops by the manor" to deliver a file for Fallon to Liam, claiming not to know where she is. Maybe she went out for drinks with the board? He's there waiting for Fallon to have that special dinner with her. Fallon arrives a few minutes later to find a note on the table---Liam has left. He decides to go on a nighttime hike with Ava and some of her friends, and Ava has that smug look of triumph on her face.
