I dunno
I guess they're actually taking a week off for the actual Valentine's day and 3.13 will air 21/2. How annoying.

It's Valentine's Day in Dynasty-land.

Blake knows that "OakleyCorp" has apparently made an offer to buy C-A from Van Kirk Industries. With C3 "away visiting family" (helping Beto load the gun?) and everyone else elsewhere, Blake eats breakfast alone. But Bo is at his side, so there's that. As is Anders, who discovers Jeff owns OakleyCorp before the opening credits roll.

Fallon has decided to buy a house, but doesn't want to move in with Liam...yet. A particular house that she's always admired is about to go on the market, so she turns it into her latest "bull in a china shop conquest". Her antics at the Open House are vintage Fallon. "All's fair in love and real estate!" Oh, and the agent is totally hot for Liam, who seems amused by the attention.

Dominique's back from New York and wants to live with the newlyweds. Alexis suggests a one-bedroom in Norcross. [/burn] ….and Jeff and Alexis sleep in separate rooms, BTW. No word on Monica. :( No word on Vanessa, either. Well, two words: Moving on. Oddly, Dom is now cozying up to Michael, and before you know it, they're hopping into BED. Because...well, why not at this point. Only....Vanessa arrives on Culhane's doorstep after Dom leaves, and now it's clear Dom played him like a violin. She claims it'll be "their secret," then pulls out their sex tape after Culhane leaves.

Sam's got the hotel dolled up for V-Day but he's depressed about Fletcher/Not!Steven. He flips out when he learns Kirby's kind of crushing on Adam, since he's...weird. Honey, you don't know the half of it. Did those cult people do something to your brain? She insists it was not a cult, which is a very cult-like thing to assert. Kirby sends Adam a "secret admirer" invitation to a party at LaMirage. Adam decides the secret admirer must be Nadia. Sam sets him straight, and we're subjected to Adam playing the heartbroken suitor who walks out on Kirby. It's like Bizarro World. But then Adam gets upset over how Nadia did not get 'punished' for her lies and trashes the loft. Now THAT's the Adam we all know and cower in fear from. Except for Kirby, who throws herself at him anyway.

Blake confronts Alexis about her marriage, their vendetta, and the attempt to purchase C-A. She dishes the attitude right back at him, so he retreats.
Blake then enlists Dominique for a favor--help him retrieve the paperwork regarding the C-A sale. Dom agrees...but wants something much more than money. I didn't realize she knew there was anything more than money. Dom lets Blake into Jeff's house to snoop. He finds a file on Jeff's health condition instead. That evening, the Colbys learn Blake has bought a pharmaceutical company that Jeff wanted to buy--a company that potentially could cure the neurotoxicity condition that Jeff is suffering from. Blake suggests a trade for C-A, but Jeff refuses.

Mrs. Winslow, the reserved, classy woman selling the house, only wants a family to live in "Fallon's house". So Fallon of course tells the woman she has a husband and kids. She dresses as a soccer mom, rents a minivan, leases Tony D. Gardener's kids, and enlists Liam to play pretend. Frankly she lost points with me for not brining Bo along to play the family dog. Anyway, Liam gets upset when it appears Fallon is enjoying playing wife/mommy too much--since he "can't have kids". (?!) They bicker in front of Mrs. Winslow, and the whole ruse falls apart, as does the classy Mrs. Winslow: "Get the hell out of my house, you crazy bitch!"

(If Fallon Carrington were as famous in Atlanta as she claims, Mrs. Winslow would have known Fallon had no kids or husband)

Liam says he fears marrying and having kids because of the wacky family he grew up in. He also hates how Fallon makes all the decisions in the relationship. The house search is suspended, they kiss, etc.
C3 returns from Mexico to find Dominque is moving into the mansion! :eck: I wonder if she'll get Beto to go double or nothing?

The preview of the next episode leads me to think it will be shot in black and white. Alexis's wardrobe won't look much different, at least.

2017 I think (unless it is 2016)

I think these two storylines have me very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very (you can never be enough with this creature) cautiously optimistic that they are trying to put on an actual soap.
Dominique's plots continue to highlight the stupidity of having the original cozy up to Blake instead of being more of an antagonist. She is in so many more arcs here, and she even made Michael be relevant for an episode--talk about a miracle!
Sam's cautionary words to Kirby NOT to ignore the warning signs as he did with Fletcher, only for us to see the warning signs with Adam and Kirby to just turn a blind eye both pays homage to the original and creates its own narrative.

I dunno
Oaklycorp? I guess that's a codename for Jeff and Alexis... it's unintentional, but the Blake / Anders scene shows what a lonely rich boy he is, not knowing how to properly connect to people. In a way more connected to Adam than he'd like to admit.

I guess we've got it confirmed - Alexis and Jeff's marriage is a business arrangement. Weirdly, Alexis is the first woman that Jeff has sparked with and now he has to die? Oh well, here's Dominique!

Kirby is trying to slut it up with Adam, but Adam is oblivious to her quite obvious come-ons. I mean, what's a girl to do? Throw her boobs out on the table (girls, don't throw your boobs out on the table).

Speaking of boobs, Fallon is looking for a new mansion! And Liam is back.

THE WAR IS ON FOR CARRINGTON ATLANTIC!

Trampy Ho is now in Kirby's old space of having no love interest and searching for one. Kirby is a bit of a bitch here. Kirby is into Adam and our resident Trampy Ho is warning her against it.

Man, Michael Michele is living it up as Dominique. Good for her. Haha, are they're going to pair up Culhane and Dominique? WHY NOT! Christ, go for it, why not?

Fallon plot of looking at a mansion blah blah. This is a dull filler storyline. Though, Fallon's talking about this mansion like it saved her as a kid... and how she used to sneak over there as a kid and peek into the windows to look at a real family. HMMM....

Oof, Alexis is ripping into Blake. "Colby's always lose to Carringtons". LOL, Cristal is in the fakest Mexico set ever.

So now Blake needs Dominique to infiltrate Jeff's mansion after she's just sexed Culhane. How deliciously scandalous! I like Blake and Dominique working together - it's fun.

OUCH! Kirby is into Adam, but Adam is obsessed with Nadia still. Maybe Kirby will bury Adam alive in this nuDynastic universe? Aww, this is sort of sweet, in a psychotic kind of way.

Vanessa's back for Culhane! Except he's now slept with Dominique. And Vanessa's moving back to Atlanta. And Culhane picks up where he left off with Vanessa. Ooops! This is getting damn complicated.

Trampy Ho, broken hearted, reveals to Adam that it wasn't Nadia who called him there but Kirby, who will bury him alive eventually. Oh wow, Adam makes some sense for once. How odd. Bwahaha, funny conversation between Trampy and Kirby - "Let me make my own mistakes" "I did - you joined a cult, remember?". Oh Kirby at this point, please don't follow your heart.

Blake is truly being a heartless bastard here - it was played for jokes so far, but now he's got Jeff's life in his hands. And then Jeff turns down his offer, to possibly save his own life. Giving Blake what's coming to him is more important. Can Blake live with dooming his nephew to death?

Culhane is freaking out about his night with Dominique and Dom promises to keep it a secret from Vanessa. Except it looks like this was a part of Dominique's plan and she recorded a sex tape of her night with Culhane.

Kirby goes to apologize to Adam and possibly bury him alive. Adam is showing his crazy side... except Kirby is turned on by crazy. Errrm, look out other Dynasty characters?

Cristal is home to the Carrington mansion! Surprise surprise, Dominique is moving into the mansion. "See you at breakfast!"

Ha yes. It just goes to show you what a vital character Dominique *could've* been in the original, but you know furs, diamonds and caviar.

Just finished the episode and i LOVED every part of it! What a great soap this has become!
I was laughing SO hard when Fallon freaked out in the house-buying scene when her plans fell apart, that was SO hilarious!
Dominique was so great in this, and Adam and Kirby are getting involved... poor Kirby! :eck:
Very well played by all of the actors, i even liked Michael again.
This is my new favorite episode, not only of the season, but of the whole show! :10:

Yes. Considering that Paris was building up Mackays and Sheridans exit and the midseason finale, this one now is way better. And it's just an "episode 12". It was exactly what i wished for NuDynasty.
If all episodes were as good as this one, it would be a top show.

Better than the Paris episodes?

The Paris episodes were still gimmick episodes, in that they brought in a whole set of characters (not just Adam, but also the cousin who disappeared) and many threads were left dangling (hello, Steven?). This one was actually born out of continuous plots, both picking them up and carrying them further. Vanessa and Michael and Dominique's schemes, Carrington Atlantic and the Blake/Alexis feud, Jeff's disease, Cristal's vendetta against Alexis, and of course Adam's dark side. Such continuity is not a usual phenomenon on this hour of CW.

Yes. Since its start, season 3 has been an improvement over season 2.
Dominique is wonderful.

And for the first time i could actually laugh about the funny situations and not just roll my eyes about them.
Fallon with Liam and "their" kids were genuinely funny and not just some cringe-joke as usually!

And Dominique sleeping with Michael and recording it was sooooo original Dynasty.
Reminded me of O-Alexis seducing O-Marc at LaMirage to keep him away from O-Fallon.
Adam and Kirby is so typical as well. Love it all! They are really doing DYNASTY now, and not just "make fun" of it!
Too bad there will be no new episode next week. :(

Michael, so far, has slept with Fallon, Monica, Kori, Kirby, Vanessa and Dominique.
Congrats Michael!! You have officially won the male whore title of this reboot :D
Like Jeff Colby in OG Dynasty...

So NU Michael is OG Jeff
But NU Liam is also OG Jeff

NU Jeff is OG Cecil (The billionaire marrying Alexis before he dies?)
NU Steven is OG Amanda 2 (the sibling you never saw again)
NU Sam is OG Fallon season 4 (La Mirage, and love for the wrong men)

I wonder who NU Bo is...

One episode will be the charm

I loved that house, I would have resorted to questionable tactics to get it, too. I liked that this wasn't simply "let's give Fallon something to do this episode" but was part of the development of her relationship with Liam. Glad that Liam spoke up about Fallon making EVERY decision in their relationship.
