Gosh, this is just awful. I knew he was ill, but never knew how poorly he was.

I remember fondly chatting with R&D in the 'WHAT ARE YOU THINKING THREAD' and we would often play the albums game many moons ago.

My sympathy to his family and loved ones.

:rip:

Sad news indeed. I was fascinated by R&D's screencaps in the appreciation thread. He had a gift for being able to capture a special moment in an image.

Home from work and I have thought about Tommie all day since i got the news earlier this morning. I last corresponded with him on April 1st and he said he was very tired. He was admitted to hospital and passed away there

I never met him but I felt I knew him through our love of original Dallas. If ever i was on holiday I would email him my calander pics incase I was somewhere remote and couldnt get online and he dutifully posted them on my behalf. Every year before Xmas he would email me new caps of Steve and Susan for the Advent thread and he had his own threads which were popular and present here for many years.

A very sad day for a young man who has been through so much but was always upbeat, cheerful and seemed such a nice guy. I feel he has been here for over 15 years and I will miss our online chats - he was very creative and talented and I really hoped he would pull through. He had a lot of interests and posted in a lot of forums too
My Sympathy to all his family and friends who must be devasted right now. You are in my thoughts
RIP Tommie, you wont be forgotten, rest easy, free from pain - love BF x

For a look at how talented he was this is his Amazon page where his books and blogs can be found

I also have to thank him for encouraging me to buy Petrochelli on DVD - I loved it and seeing Barry Newman and Susan Howard together

I woke up to this news this morning. It was a shock and so sad.
I have known Tommie since 2006 when he first joined this community. We had a lot of in common interests, like writing and also fan vidding. I always loved reading his fanfics that he posted in the writer's room on the board and I've got one of his books too. Tommie was the sweetest guy, so talented, creative and so brave. He was a friend and I will miss him. He is gone too soon.

My sympathies to his family and friends.

Rest In Peace Tommie.

I actually got to know him via the General Hospital thread, showing our love for the show by cracking jokes about the silliness and hypocrisy of the characters. I noticed he would occasionally post something that didn't make sense or seemed more like stream-of-consciousness typing, but figured he must have been dipping into the pain meds a bit generously. GH tends to make even the healthiest among us want to self-medicate at times, though. I'll really miss the banter. Thank you, BF, for letting us know.
