Bringing back the lovely "introduce yourself" thread we used to have.

It's mainly a space for new members to say hello, but don't let that stop you telling us a bit about yourself, no matter how long you've been around.

Hello, I'm Angela Channing. I'm a wine-making grandmother from the Tuscany Valley in California. I own the Falcon Crest winery and although it has changed ownership several times over the years, it's now back with me where it always should have been.

In reality, I'm a middle-aged man from London who liked watching the prime-time soap operas back in the 1980. My current favourite TV show is Ted Lasso and I think the best TV drama I've watched this millennium has been Dopesick.

Hello. My real name is Brett, and I've had many aliases here over the years. My original screen name was McSween, and the one I used the longest was Sid Fairgate.

I became a member here in the summer of 1999 shortly after getting my first PC. I was 15 at the time, and I turned 40 last week. Phew, does time fly!

I became a Dallas fan in 1996 when TNN aired the reruns. The first episode I saw was Winds of Vengeance. Since then, I've watched the other big 3 prime time soaps of the 80s when they aired on Soapnet. I became a fan of them as well, but Dallas remains my favorite. My dad took me to visit Southfork in 2006, and it was both surreal and amazing.

Some other facts about me: I live in the pacific northwest region of the US, I love cats, my favorite genre of music is country, and I post most frequently on the politics forum.

Oh, it's all that homicide stuff.
Oh fine then. Guess my mothers' sign and then my sisters sign (who is the absolute worst).

Oh! You can't, can you? Because it is not that predictable, is it? Oh yes, Krystle you fail again unlike Alexis. Mwahaha.

Guessing at what -- your family members? What if you're misrepresenting them, and they're actually saints?
Oh you think I would lie? Me? Never.

On the other hand, most people can guess the star sign my sister is because I can manipulate her as I please.

Ok to point out - my mother used to read tarot cards in the neighbourhood and then one day I found her laying on the ground, sick and unresponsive. I think that when you f*** with souls it'll eventually catch up on you and you'll have to pay a dear price, you know. At least if I'm in charge I can control things, and not be horrible, like little miss Scorpio. Horrible.

Also, you know how Scorpios rule Taurus, while Taureses can manage Cancers?

That's my family situation.

Hi, my name is Dallas Fan Forever. I’d say that was destined to be my nickname since May 17, 1985, which to me was the greatest Dallas episode ever. I joined here in 2020 and I do kind of regret waiting so long in a way. I lurked for many, many years because I am extremely shy. Even after I finally joined I was deathly afraid to post anything at first, but this community and the wonderful people in it have a way of making you feel welcome.

Whatever our likes and dislikes, whatever our opinions on certain shows and characters, whether we agree or don’t, it’s all irrelevant to me. What matters is the interaction and all the fun we have here reading each others’ posts. If I need a laugh after a long day, this is where I go for that laugh. And I love making others laugh as well when I can.

What else can I tell you about me? Let’s see, well, my real name is Frank, although I prefer Frankie as I get older. I guess when you’re 48 you’ll do just about anything to sound younger. I’m originally from New York but now I live down in South Florida. I love sports, probably to a fault. They are indeed my passion; watching them, playing them, getting injured playing them cause I’m too stubborn to give up, etc, it’s all part of the job.

But my real job is a delivery driver, which I’ve been doing with the same company for 25 years. It’s hard work, it’s physical, it’s dangerous, perhaps a little frustrating at times, but it’s also highly rewarding as I get to help people every day.

My favorite thing about this site is the friends I’ve made (you know who you are) and I’m grateful for all of you! And to those of you who have just joined and perhaps feel a little too shy to participate, please don’t feel that way. You’re all more than welcome to be here!
