I love KL and will happily rewatch most of it many times over but if I have to sit through the Diana and Chip storyline one more time I would probably throw myself on a pitchfork.

Peter Hollister as well, only became interesting when he was dead. His lack of chemistry with Mills did not help much. His love scene with Abby was about as erotic as Steven Carrington and Luke Fuller embraces.

Hackney, need I say more?

Claudia Lonow had the unenviable task of playing a shrill, unlikable character. I think she did it well, and I loved all of season 4, but I was also glad when it ended and she was gone. I've never had any inclination to rewatch her scenes.

I really like Karen and Mack, as well as the actors, but some of the "cutesy" scenes or the ones in which the show is trying a bit too hard to be earnest are hard to rewatch.
I love almost every scene with Abby, but the one I cannot sit through again is when she finds out Jeff has kidnapped Olivia and Brian and she makes this weird, "Nooooo" wailing noise. It's all good though. No one hits a homerun all the time, not even Seaview Circle's blue eyed she-devil.

Val as Verna. Initally its exciting when she runs off, but then as she gets settled in Shula I do think they dragged out that story for way too long to keep her away from the cul-de-sac and especially the relationship and marriage plans to Parker. I usually have to skip through a lot of that, and when Gary gets beaten up,.

In fact the whole second half of season 6 has a lot of dragging, that really shows in a re-watch. You're just waiting for any sight of the babies, and Karen to get on with tracking down Ackerman. All the empire valley stuff gets more and more ridiculous, and Gary becoming a spy.... They lost the plot a bit there.

It might have been interesting of they kept a bit of mystery as to what exactly Val was doing when she was Verna.

Yes, I think that could have worked better. If we don't see for Val for a while after the Distant Locations episode, when she removes all her make-up and leaves that motel.
Then the next time we see her could be when Abby tracks her down in the diner with her new identity. It would have added to the mystery.

Speaking of the devil, I recently had a lol moment on Instagram because I tagged her for a Knots Landing video I had published, thinking that she would love to rewatch her colleagues all over again. This is what she replied:
"It´s too long". Am I in it?" I found it so Diana-esque that I almost fell off my chair laughing!! True story!

My painful rewatch list:

1. I really have hard times rewatching all Ginger and/or Kenny scenes, I really can't find anything interesting in them... I never did!
On the contrary, I don't mind rewatching Diana storylines now, funny thing, at first sight I couldn't really stand her...

2. Jean Hackney, something doesn't work for me, a real pain...

3. Abby and Charles. It makes me sick! I'd rather rewatch a scene of boring Ginger moaning! Why did they do that to Abby's character? It does not work! Or could it be because of Michael York's dead fish charisma???
This annoys me so much, considering Abby is my absolute favourite character in KL.
Plus those stupid flashback scenes, with this young Abby looking as much as Abby as I do (ironic)... Heeeelp!

4. Val's brain virus. They pushed it a little too far with crazy Val this time, I think this crazy Val storyline was the one too much, some scenes are very embarrassing...

5. Jason and Mack storyline, annoying at some point. This poor Jason is just a punching ball :box:(how many times does he get beaten and injured?! :yikey:).

6. Anne Matheson and Benny Appleman, not so funny the 1st time, not funny at all after a few rewatch! What did they try to do here? A comedy duo? :confuse:

Cherry on the cake:
Karen screaming on the top of the hill at Lotus Point: "Damn you, Paul Galveston!" :re: If I watch this again, I'm gonna :tv:

I think some of Karen's scenes are difficult to rewatch, because of Michele Lee's acting... During the early years, she's acting quite natural, but as soon as she gets shoulder pads and hats, she's sometimes quite mediocre, above all when she has to act emotional/serious, she has a way of articulating and pausing in between almost every word that does not sound right and gets on my nerves... And this "stiff lady style" way of moving like she's got a broom in the a...! Come on darlin', you're not Joan Collins!

I disagree. I think seeing Val take on the life that she might have had is quite an emotional ride. As much as I wanted her back with Gary, there's a degree of ambivalence about whether she might have been happier staying in Shula.

Hackney is on the top of my list, and sorry in advance for the fans, but I hate the character of Mack , the way he acts moving his arms or hands, I loved Sid Frigate , can't stand any scene with Kevin Dobson

So true, I forgot to mention "Sally's friend" and Danny! This is also a quite painful storyline to rewatch! I hate Pat Williams was killed off, bastards! Plus aunt Ginny around as the special side dish that makes the thing even more stodgy!!! Aaaargh!

If I had been in a catty mood, I would have replied "You're right...it is too long. I'll edit out your scenes to make it shorter better."

Actually I said I was sorry (noblesse oblige), and that I'd send her links to the videos that did show her! No answers to her Mrs. Tony Fenice scene yet...

I have to take issue with that. Kevin was a good actor and had lots of great scenes - particularly his friendship with Val when she is pregnant - he is one of the first people she confides in and I think he goes to her Lamaze class, if I remember rightly.

He also has the most lovely scene with Val in season 4. After Gary gets arrested over Ciji's murder, Mack finds her on the beach, and he comforts Val and tells her she needs get this blasted man out of her system - by shouting and shrieking if needed. 'Gary's my weakness' says Val in response, then Karen turns up and they hold hands and walk off together along the beach - just one of those classic Knots moments.

Kevin Dobson acted wonderfully in that scene. RIP.

The hardest scenes to watch were Amanda's rape and Patricia Williams 's death, but the show was still otherwise in great form in season 11. It would be hard for me to sit through much of the beginning of Season 13 again (although Michelle Phillips had some good material), but my answer for the plot threads I least want to go though again are the ones involving Joshua. Alec Baldwin might have been intriguing on the show at first, and he is terrifying in his final episode, but otherwise he did the same time of smarmy acting he usually does, and he was a big drag for me to sit through.

Regarding Mack, I really liked him and was glad when he was on board in season 4. He added a lot to the show and had great chemistry with Karen and the rest of the cast. Yes, he could be annoying, but for me it was a realistic annoying, if that makes sense. There are people in our lives who are wonderful but have their habits that can get under our skin. We may need a break from them, but we still want them in our lives. That's how I saw Mack.
Joshua l, on the other hand, I just found annoying. He was ilind of interesting at first, but as his story went on when he was on the screen, I would want him to disappear. He deserved that punch from Ben and Lilimae was a hero for hitting in the head with her autoharp, causing him to fall off that roof. My details might not he 100% correct:)
Lilimae, by the way, was a feisty one. She hurled Joshua off a roof, ran over Chip and slapped Cathy. Where was she when Danny was around? We could have use her then.

I dunno
"Sally's friend".

They spent all that time building up a potential Pat and Gary romance only to drop it and have Gary start having a stranger calling his phone, who just happens to be involved with the new guy Val's seeing? Come on...

I don't have a problem with these bizarre coincidences.

Knowing what's coming I think it makes the lesser successful parts easier to rewatch instead of difficult. Perhaps I could even enjoy Val's brain virus as a train-wreck kind of entertainment.
But then there's stuff like widower Frank Williams and I think I just want him to go away! all over again.

I struggled with Ben's revised past as secret agent (or whatever) but that is something I actually look forward to rewatch. It's just so mind-boggling!

"Sally's friend" should've been an alt-universe version of Sue Ellen. It could've been good.
